We had a fantastic visit. The property is cosy and very well equipped: nothing lacking in the kitchen for a variety of meals for four. The location is perfect for Scafell and a variety of local walks, as well as the coast. Thanks for leaving us a generous allocation of goodies to get us settled in!

We’ve just returned from the most wonderful stay at this charming cottage. The surroundings are breathtaking — peaceful, serene, and almost surreal. From the moment we arrived, it felt like home. The cottage itself is so cosy and beautifully kept, and the bed was incredibly comfortable — I slept like a log both nights! Madonna was a fantastic host and communicative, she kindly allowed us to check in early after our long journey. We couldn’t have asked for more. We’ll definitely be returning!

Just came home after a very reaxing break in Jonnty’s beautiful cottage. The cottage was georgeous, comfortable, relaxing and was just as described in the listing and felt very spacious with everything that you might need. Jonnty’s an excellent host which responds very quickly to any messages. He also put the heating on before our arrival incase we were cold. We ate a couple of times in the pub/restaurant 10minutes walk ‘Bowe House Inn’ which was very good. The area is very peaceful with beautiful surrounding. I look forward to returning in the future.

Amazing cottage in an absolutely stunning location with a beautiful look out over the lake. Diane is a 5 star host and wants to make sure that you get the most out of your stay and is very helpful. The cottage is beautiful and has everything you need and more of everything readily available if you need, it’s very cosy to come back to after a walk around the lakes. Would stay there again in a heartbeat.
