Awesome stay to get away from all the noise from a big city! Amazing view of the stars just by walking outside of the shed. Beautiful place to visit. You'll get a spectacular view of Mt. Hood on you way home too!

In spring each year I take a solo silent retreat & this cottage was perfect for unplugging, getting away from city noise, syncing with the sun, & giving my nervous system the chance to fully relax. There's Wi-Fi if you open the bedroom window & place your phone on the sill. However, it's a wonderful opportunity for a pile of books, art projects, meditation, &--best of all--watching the weather form over the Columbia River, the trees in the wind, the animals (deer, elk, turkey, eagles), & the sunrise. I didn't leave the property at all during my week stay. Bring hiking socks/boots to walk through the wooded areas for the burrs that hitch a ride. As an extremely light sleeper, I slept peacefully without earplugs by closing the bedroom door & letting the shower sprayer hang down gently to keep it from dripping. Train & traffic sounds are faint enough to not be intrusive & I never once heard a train horn. Fantastic hike/view 15 min away at Tom McCall/Rowena area. Highly recommend!

High quality finish work and construction throughout the space and attention to detail was very refreshing in an Airbnb. Highly recommended! Enjoyed watching the deer this am. Lois and Bob were incredibly welcoming have created a beautiful and cozy place to stay. The place was easy to find and their property is surrounded by a lovely forest and peaceful spaces. Highly recommend if you’re in the area and want a quiet and relaxing place to rest.
