Vacation rentals with beach access in Barry

Firstly, Mike and Carolanne. Very good hosts, they responded quickly to my questions. They left little extras in the flat, which made us feel welcome. The flat is ideal for 2 people. A nice little balcony with views over the bay and pier. The bedroom is large, 2 chairs to sit looking out of the patio doors if it's raining, the bed was large warm and comfortable. The bathroom had a bath and over bath shower. There was plenty of hot water. Good towels. AND a plastic mat for the bath so we didn't slip while showering. There was also some nice shamphoo, gel etc. The kitchen is small but well equiped and plenty good enough. Living/ dinning area is also smallish but again, plenty good enough. The TV is large and connected to the internet, so you can log onto Netflix etc. It's up the hill, so a walk into town and to the beach. We used The Captains Table. Which is out the front door, left past the carpark, down through the small park. Down the steps. We parked on the street. Our 2nd visit

Jessica responded to messages quickly and built some flexibility into our check in and check out times. The apartment was beautiful, spotlessly clean and very well equipped. The location was peaceful and restful and the sea can be seen and heard from the large patio doors in the living/dining space. There are coastal walks in both directions from the apartment which can be followed for miles and a beach within easy walking distance. The beach is popular with walkers, kite-surfers and surfers. A number of cycling and running groups also enjoy the paved coastal paths and the facilities at the nearby restaurant /coffee shop and surf school base. We were able to alternate between enjoying the peace and quiet of the apartment grounds and make the most of time to read and enjoy the beautiful scenery, and enjoy the activity of coastal walking, swimming in the sea and exploring the beach. People were friendly and personable. It fits the description and I would highly recommend.

The most amazing sea views from every window! Spacious living area, very comfortable. The building is well located with a grocery store very close and lots of shops, restaurants and the pier within walking distance. Lots of cool places to visit nearby, including Bath, Cardiff and Stonehenge. Super responsive host. Beautiful town, highly recommend!

Very comfortable flat, parking easily available with provided parking disk (essential and grateful for this). Outstanding views and close to a beautiful beach. Would return.

BeachCliff met all the criteria for our special one off pilgrimage to the place of our ancestors. The location and the view was as we expected, the quality of the apartment was better than we expected. While BeachCliff is a relatively expensive Airbnb, for us it was well worth the cost of a 6 night stay. BeachCliff gets a 9/10 score from us; we have never given a perfect 10/10 score for an Airbnb stay and but for the lack of a couple of kitchen bowls suitable for breakfast cereal, BeachCliff would have made it.. :-)

Susan was a fantastic host, providing exceptional instructions and a beautifully decorated flat for my parents stay. The extra little touches such as complimentary Welsh cakes made the whole trip extra special. Will definitely be looking to come back again and would highly recommend.

We loved our stay here. We were not too lucky with the weather but we knew it would be potentially rainy at the end of November and stayed here mainly for the great location. It is right on the beach in Barry Island with the train station just 2min walk away. It is about 30mins into Cardiff Central by train and the flat has secure parking at the back. Would love to return in summer. The flat is lovely and you feel like you are on holiday just being inside it. Can highly recommend a stay here.

Stayed for two nights here and the place was really lovely, beautiful decor and amenities were good, inc. off road parking in the driveway. Communication with Ffion was very prompt and she suggested some great places to eat, of which we tried two - the sand rabbit and the front. Both we had nice meals in. Was a good base for exploring Pen y fan and the waterfall area of South Wales, and a trip to Rhossilli beach as well, all under an hour drive away.

Fantastic house. Perfect for our family get together. Three generations - and we all had privacy, space and comfort. The house was clean, beautifully furnished and well equipped. The location was great - easy walk to the seafront and local shops. We would highly recommend this property and would certainly stay again.

A beautiful setting tucked away in a corner of a very large lawn/field and half in the surrounding trees. Very peaceful with all the household amenities you'd need. Paula and Tom couldn't have been more helpful with lots of suggestions for places of interest and eating.

Suzanne was a wonderful host who was so helpful leading up to and during our stay. The home is immaculate with lots of space to use. It was easy to get to and the surrounding area is lovely for anyone visiting South Wales.

This place has the WOW factor. It is modern and has top class finishes. The host Sandra is ultra responsive, accommodating and friendly. I definitely recommend staying here if you ever get the chance.

we had an incredible stay at Niamh's place. as already big fans of the area Southerndown, we fell even further in love thanks to this house! great location, sea view, plenty of space for all the family. the house was beautifully decorated. We loved all of the little bits and bobs, pieces of art and records! I think it was our families dream home ha! will be returning no doubt :)

Excellent stay. Laura was super helpful in communication prior to our booking. The house is gorgeous, beautifully clean and so close to the lovely high street and beach. Highly recommend.

Great place to stay and great host.

We had a great stay at Tony's place! Perfect location for a weekend getaway. Tony is a responsible host and takes care of his guests. I would definitely stay again and recommend this place to others.

Perfect base to stay, really comfortable bed, full kitchen. I was fortunate that my stay coordinated with the illuminated carnival in Weston-super-Mare and I also went into Weston on the open top bus from just outside. it was lovely to enjoy the view from both lounge and bedroom, even if it was a little grey. but nice beach to walk along with direct access. I will definitely stay again if in the area.

This is a wonderful place to stay,. The photos don't do justice to this awesome place to stay. It is spacious, meticulously clean and has is well equipped. I was met in person by Mike and he gave me a fantastic introduction to the house. I was even brought a slipper as a welcome gift by Burt, Mike's dog. Mike ensured that I knew how everything worked and checked that all was ok throughout my stay but without intruding. I needed to work in the evening and the WiFi was extremely good. Mike really is a Super Host and I would definitely stay again if I find myself needing to return to the area. Thank you Mike, for letting me stay in your peaceful home.

Tom’s place was lovely. Great view of the beach, well equipped and exactly as described. Easy walking distance to local attractions. Tom was very responsive to all communication. Would definitely stay again!

We just stayed a couple of nights to visit local family. This was a lovely home to locate in. Extremely comfortable, and well equipped. It was spacious and warm. Really a great place to stay and very good value. We enjoyed our stay, and may well look to stay here again when we visit Weston. And on top of that Miles was so helpful and quick at comminucating. Great host. Thank you.

Absolutely wonderful stay! We did the woodland spa experience, was so nice and relaxing all lit up with fairy lights at night. Went out for a meal and Jack took us to the restaurant and pick us up when we were ready to leave, thanks Jack! First time in wales, so glad we stayed here, great stay :)

A perfect Airbnb! Spotlessly clean (even the sofa was hoovered!) and so spacious. Right near the beach which is so beautiful. Everything we needed was thoughtfully provided. We stayed in winter and the hosts had been in the day before to make sure the heating was on to warm it up for us. Beautiful building too. Would highly recommend this stay!

We had stayed before so knew how lovely the apt is. We came by train - it’s very convenient for the station.
