Vacation rentals in Vale of Glamorgan

We had a lovely stay, it was just right for a family of 3 and ample space for more. We would recommend it to anyone wanting to have a holiday or short break in Penarth or the surrounding areas.

Shirley's lovely light sumptuous studio held all it promised and more. From the warm arrival on a wet and dark November night, when we were warmly welcomed and felt cosy and homely immediately, to the quietness at night, guaranteeing a sound and refreshing sleep. The studio is fitted out beautifully and functional. Even milk in the fridge, so the first cup of tea on arrival can be enjoyed without any packing or shopping. We stayed a weekend to catch up with local friends, and the studio was perfect as retreat and restful place. Central but quiet, and every detail lovingly chosen, suiting the place. We also enjoyed the mix of literature: information about Barry, but also a range to just have a relaxing read. Shirley is kind, warm and accommodating, it was wonderful to be hosted by her. Thank you Shirley, we loved our first visit in Wales!!

Booked for myself and 3 friends for a birthday getaway and have to say this Airbnb was second to none. With easy check in, spacious rooms and extremely comfortable beds I wouldn’t hesitate to book again. Dan’s home was clean and very well decorated, we couldn’t have asked for anything better. All amenities were included as stated and the city was a 20 minute walk away which was perfect for what we wanted to do whilst there.

Excellent accommodation and great position near to sea and lovely walks.

Faye’s place is really convenient. The location is really close to the city center and the train station. So easily walkable. Saves having to drive into the city and find parking. The parking space provided is useful. Like the description better for a smaller car. Ours fit perfectly. The instructions for check in were straight forward. There was plenty of information Faye left for us in the house on how to work the heating and various other bits. Once we got the heating on the place warmed up quickly. Had plenty of amenities. Overall it is a very comfortable and central place to stay. Would happily go back again next time we are in Cardiff. Thank you Faye.

Wow!!! We were excited by the photos but wow!!! The view is breathtaking and is something you have to see to truly appreciate, exceeded our already high expectations….Gavin was super helpful, very laid back about checking in and out times, bed was comfy and considering the property is advertised as a ‘tiny home’ is much bigger than we thought it would be. My favourite airbnb stay by a country mile and we will definitely be back. Thanks Gavin.

Very good in all respects. We would have liked more hooks in the hallway and bathroom, but I can't think of any other even minor criticism. We couldn't find a visitors' book in the property. Were we missing something?!

Had the pleasure of staying here during the midweek before Christmas 2024. We always try to stay in Pontcanna (& use Rob’s places); having lived in Cardiff previously, this is a preferable location for us. Robs place was perfect - everything was how you’d want to find it and there was plenty of space. We had a slight issue opening the garage but a quick phone call and we were free once again. Having the use of the adjoining garage, as well as the on street permit was a real bonus. Thank you for a marvellous stay!

Beautifully decorated, clean and welcoming mezzanine apartment. We had a very comfortable stay and perfect location for visiting our son who recently moved to Barry. Loved visiting The Knapp, Dyffryn Gardens, Cosmeston Lakes Country Park and lovely Penryn with the dogs. We made a mistake and only booked 2 instead of 3 nights before our onward trip to Swansea, but we messaged Elzbieta who came back to us straight away and kindly extended our booking for another night. Would love to stay again when we next come down xx
