The place is beautiful, the house too. Very well maintained and spacious, with all the amenities. The green area is great for children or pets, the pool is great. Everything is just as shown in the photographs. A little far from the beaches but the house is so nice that we didn't want to go out much anyway.

The home is very spacious and offers a gorgeous view! The house is well stocked and provides everything we needed. Nicole was a gracious host and is very responsive. Alberto walked us down to the river where we enjoyed the private swimming hole. We enjoyed the Osa Canopy Tour, Fuego Brewery and La Parcela.

The house is exactly like the photographs. It has all the amenities in the description. Even before we arrived, the response from the host and co-host was quite fast, they helped us with all the inquiries and requests made. Upon arrival we had a very nice surprise of a bottle of wine with a chocolate. I took my dog since the house is completely closed, so it's perfect for bringing pets. The lighting of the pool and terrace is very nice and makes for a very pleasant atmosphere.

Our family had a great stay here. The place is secluded, but comfortable and safe. The house is clean and comfortable, with all the appliances we needed to cook. We especially liked the big screen door that allowed us to lounge in the living room while enjoying the open air and sounds of the forest. The area is great for walking on the beach, with attractions a short drive away. Beautiful view of forest and ocean to enjoy when drinking coffee — we also saw toucans and hummingbirds. We thought the sounds of frogs, birds, and rain were great, but any light sleepers not used to this should bring earplugs. We also appreciated how helpful Carlos was. Would stay again.

We had a wonderful stay at Angela’s “casita”. It was the perfect location, situated in the jungles of the Osa, but close enough to amenities that it wasn’t “too far”. The home had a perfect two bedroom layout, both with private bathrooms. I loved the grounds and pool. I also liked to be in the same compound as Angela’s family, helping me feel that extra sense of security and hospitality. We will be back for sure for more fun!

We had such an incredible stay at casa blanco in hatillo. It way the perfect home away from home. The host was very responsive and accommodating. We traveled with 3 kids. 8yrs, 5yrs, and 8 months. They provided us with a crib and a high chair for the baby at no extra cost. The pool was the perfect size for our kids to play in and felt safe. The house is very secluded and felt super safe. We loved the town. We liked walking down the hill to the mini mart and getting pizza at pizza surf time. The kitchen also has AC which we weren’t expecting but we were happy to have it. The house is just a short drive to Dominical. It was a perfect stay and I highly recommend!

Our stay was very good. The hosts were perfect in how they interacted with us. We had a problem with the air conditioner in one bedroom and they were very prompt to have it repaired. We asked if we could have a fan and within hours they delivered one. Always polite and positive. The bnb was comfortable, clean, and in a perfect location for us. The beds were comfy and the pool and shower was very refreshing. We recommend it as a great location for you to stay in Uvita.

Beautiful house, very clean and organized.

We loved staying here! I’ve been to a lot of Air B@Bs and this was my favorite. The house is updated and has air conditioning in the living room and bedrooms. The kitchen has everything you need to cook. The beds are comfortable. We really enjoyed sitting outside on the patio. The view is amazing. This place is located in between uvita and Quepose so it was about a 35 minute drive to both. Taryn was an excellent host who was friendly and helpful.

This place is truly special. the level of isolation in the forest is really something and hiking down to the lost pools was such fun. My kids loved the pool and the kitchen area has everything you need.

Love the place. The host helped arrange a car rental which you must have to get to the place. We used an uber a couple of times - although the uber couldn’t get all the way to the place.

Casa Serena is the most perfect hidden little gem nestled in the jungle. Pristine, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. All the little attention to details were greatly appreciated. Umbrella stands, espresso maker, perfect pool, spotless! So lovely in every way. Heather was so helpful. I have so much gratitude for such an amazing experience. You can tell this place is loved. 💖

I spent two most relaxing days in the loft. Perfect place for those who like being in the middle of nature. The cabin is an open structure with nets instead of windows. It is very well equipped, including a complete kitchen and an outdoor shower. For those who are addicted to A/C, there is none due to the open character of the loft, but 3 fans are more than enough to cool you down. Pablo, who takes care of the property, was most welcoming and nice, leading the way to the cabin and giving some good advice for things to do in the area. I would recommend going there at least in an SUV as the last 5 minutes of driving involve some steep and bumpy bits. My personal highlight was seeing a group of spider monkeys passing by directly in front of the terrace while having my morning coffee! I can only highly recommend this place!

Before I dive into how wonderful this home is, here’s a tip: rent a 4x4 vehicle for your stay. The house is located up a mountain, and Ubers are extremely expensive—$30–$35 just to get to the base of the mountain, and up to $80 one way to visit the nearby waterfalls. Planning ahead will save you a lot of money and give you more freedom to explore. Now, about the house—it’s absolutely stunning. Spacious, spotless, and beautifully designed, it truly felt like a luxury retreat. The host was incredibly kind and helpful, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could possibly need. Nothing was overlooked. The bedrooms are cozy and serene, with super soft sheets and very comfortable beds—we all slept soundly every night. The bathrooms are large, featuring double sinks, walk-in closets, and showers designed to feel like you’re bathing outdoors—with views even from the shower! If you’re looking for a beautiful, clean, & peaceful home with jaw-dropping views, your search is over!

Wonderful! We would definitely return. This place is at the end of a dead end road so it is very private and serene. We are family of 8 with children and the pool is awesome. Found the place just as the pictures and descriptions are listed. We love nature and birds and were not disappointed. This is the dry season so the road in was fine. I believe we could have made the drive without 4x4. It does take a minimum of twelve minutes to reach the casa from the paved highway. The place was not booked much this month and Suzanne offered to let us stay longer for a discount but we had to get home but thank you anyway. The electricity went off for a couple hours one day and the internet went out a couple of times but we have been to Costa Rica three times and have come to expect a little of that. Go ahead and book this property and you will not be disappointed.

The stay at Playa Ballena was very enjoyable. Natalia was very helpful in getting us set up and providing us with recommendations of where to visit and when. Going to the beach takes planning due to the tide, and Natalia was kind enough to provide us with a tide chart to help us with planning our outings to Arco as well as the time there. We were lucky to see toucan, macaws, howler monkey's and much more, right at the house. Its a peaceful place away from the road and surrounded by trees and a field. I recommend this house if you want to be away from town.

We had a great few days in bungalow 1. Everything was very clean, also very stylishly furnished. The terrace with the outdoor kitchen was a dream, the mattresses super comfortable. We were completely comfortable! Within walking distance there was a fruit and vegetable stand, where you could shop very cheaply, which was very convenient. Communication also went smoothly. After we said after the first night that the pillows were unfortunately much too thick for us, we were immediately brought thinner pillows, which was really very thoughtful.

We spent 9 days at RSA, a truly unique and memorable time. The property is beautiful and buzzing with life. Being in the misty clouds felt surreal. We saw 100s of hummingbirds and many other birds, toads, insects, and butterflies. The variety of flowers and plants in the garden is amazing. Hiking the “puma trail” was like another world, with dense moss covered trees and hanging vines. We highly recommend touring the property with Fabian - so kind/knowledgeable/passionate. Jan and the caretaker family are also SO helpful and considerate. The home was sparkling clean. There is a huge library of books. The beds are comfortable. The coffee harvested on site is delicious! Mornings were especially lovely. A few things: a 4x4 with good clearance and a confident driver are a MUST as the road is quite steep and rocky; 2 of the 3 access roads were closed, so local attractions and amenities were hard to visit/further than expected; for kids under 5, the trails are too steep/muddy.
