Cabin vacation rentals in Ayrshire

My husband and I were after a quiet couple of days away and Catherine's place was perfect! Stunning views, quiet and secluded. A perfectly formed little cabin with everything you could need. Very comfy bed and the hot tub is a lovely extra. Gartmore itself is a pretty little village but also within easy access to lots of lovely walks, lochs and scenery. Very happy customers!

Robin is an extremely welcoming and informative host & the location is absolutely perfect for a relaxing break from city life. I highly recommend the nearby Balloo House for top quality food and drink as well as Daft Eddies restaurant. The scenery is simply second to none!

Lovely location and sitting on the sofa looking out at loch Tay and mountains in the back drop. Wildlife was great seen a few deers. A duck had came up to the window and my daughter was so excited. Lovely cabin clean and beds comfy and rooms are huge and supplied a travel cot

Nice cabin and hot tub was all prepped, so easy to use. The weather was glorious so made the beautiful settimg even better.

It was a really good stay for my girlfriend’s birthday. She was very helpful. I’d never used air bnb before. And arranged this last minute.

We stayed at Janets place for one night as a last minute trip and it was amazing! Great scenic location, the instructions were clear and check in easy. The pod is spacious and nicely decorated. The bed was amazing, probably the best nights sleep I have had. The hot tub was heated for us on arrival and it was great, very private. There is a bar across the way and we went for a few drinks, lovely bar and not too dear. Overall great place, great location and would definitely be back! Very relaxing

The cabin is a lovely location for a peaceful holiday in the countryside. The views are stunning and the walks around the site are very good. The hot tub was a nice feature, and we used it a few times while we were there.

Really nice, relaxing and pleasant stay at the lovely cabin. Amenities great, and furnished really nicely. With big doors out over the stream its great in the sun, but also a fireplace and heating makes it cosy if cold!

Really enjoyed our stay, some lovely little surprises on the farm aswell (I won’t give it away!) Really beautiful surroundings and Marion was lovely too. Thankyou so much, hope to be back.

lovely bank holiday stay the lodge was perfect, clean, tidy modern the outside seating area was great. The site is very peaceful and 2 great pubs in walking distance. Bowness about 10 min drive away

Michael and his partner were great hosts, they were very responsive and flexible around our arrival which was later than anticipated. They greeted us upon arrival and made us feel at home, showing us around their beautiful cabin. We especially loved the living room area, the log burner was very relaxing and the place was always warm despite the cold rainy weather outside. The beds were extremely clean and comfortable and all was well presented and matched the photos. Thank you for a lovely stay!

The most amazing location, cabin is wonderful has EVERYTHING you could ever need, there’s not many places I could stay a week but we could here! We will be back, the pool is a great addition for children also. Thank you for a wonderful stay in your cabin ⭐️

Cozy little cabin in a very beautiful village, close to a few Munro's. The gardens are beautiful if you can brave the midgies or the wind is up. lot of nice walks around through beautiful woods, by the riverside and through wildflower meadows if you don't fancy a Munro.

We had an amazing stay at the cabin, everything about the trip was perfect. The area was beautiful and peaceful, and the cabin itself was cozy, clean, and well equipped. The hosts were more than welcoming, incredibly helpful and friendly throughout. Absolutely would come back again. Highly recommended!

Beautiful lodge/cabin and exceptionally clean too. It really is a home from home because there is absolutely everything you need and more. I was worried that due to the structure that it might be cold, but no, it was toasty and warm and the double bed and bedding was so comfy and cosy that I wanted to put it in my car and bring it home with me! Gareth and Kate had left a dog bowl with some biscuits and another bowl out on the decking filled with toys for the dog to play with. That was incredibly kind and very thoughtful of them, it was also much appreciated by Hector the Schnoodle. Foodwise, we had a delicious take-away for the Indian restaurant in Moffat and they even delivered to the Reception area of the park which is a 2 minute walk away. All in all, would I return? Yes, without a doubt and I don't say that about many places. Definitely book to stay, you'll love the peace and quiet, the beautiful tree right outside, the lake and the bazillion cute bunnies hopping around.

We stayed at the accommodation for two nights with our two children. It’s an absolutely lovely little cabin. It looks even better in real life than the pictures, sure it’s basic but it has everything you need for a short stay. The kitchen is well equipped, the shower was lovely and hot and the compost toilet worked perfectly. The log burner heated the room easily and we only needed it for a short time. The beds and sofa bed were lovely and comfy and we had more than enough battery lights to last the night. The cabin isn’t actually on Loch Long but it’s only a short walk down a very quiet road and there’s a rocky beach where you could paddle, swim, paddleboard from. If you want to eat out we had a fab tapas meal in Helensburgh. Enjoy!

What a wonderful stay in the Scottish countryside! It’s peaceful and the perfect place to unwind. There’s plenty of places to drive to close by for food and drink. Alice’s recommendations are spot on. Special touches are the optional add ons and the outdoor tub and fire pit!

This is a gorgeous lodge to book. It is perfect for 2 couples to stay overnight with a separate lodge for each. The fire hut is a great place to relax and stay warm. The games room is fun. The hosts were lovely and very accommodating with great communication. The rooms were stunning and clean. There are massage chairs in each lodge which were amazing. The lodges are well equipped, there was an air fryer and coffee machine and Bluetooth speaker. I would highly recommend this place and would love to rebook in the future.

Really great find! If you’re looking for private, peaceful & secluded this is the place for you. The hot tub is lovely, and the cabin has a welcoming warmth to it.

We had a tranquil and peaceful couple of days in Red Squirrel’s Drey. The cabin is equipped with lovely hot water and heating so you are never cold. I’d recommend hiring bikes from aberfoyle as this was a highlight to our trip as we got to see the beautiful sights in a way you will not see in a car. I would also suggests preparing food before coming as I would not recommend the faerie tree inn, the food is very basic. The black bull inn is a nicer experience, but again the food is not that great. Apart from that we loved the airbnb and had the best time :)

lovely cosy cabin which was very clean and tidy had everything we needed. didn't realize it was so remote and the midgies where extremely bad, probably with all the good weather we had then the rain. so I would definitely prepare for them. we still had an amazing time! loved that it was dog friendly as we take the dogs everywhere with us they had a blast! Gregor was always very responsive, checking in to see if everything was alright and message back super quick if there was a problem. I would definitely recommend this is you are looking for somewhere rural for a super chilled getaway.

This was my second visit to Dalavich. The local people are so friendly. The weather was great. The cabin was perfect, in a fab location. George was a great host, he made sure everything was OK for our arrival . Also giving us loads of information. Thanks George
