Great location, peaceful and still convenient to town. The place was better than we were expecting. There is lots of room in the house, doesn't feel cramped at all. There was even a hot tub (it had a couple issues, which is why it wasn't in the post, but it was working well enough to use.) Owner was very responsive. I'd stay there again.

We loved our 2 night stay at Hurunui Jacks. For us it was the perfect combination of comfort and contact with the natural beauty of the region. We enjoyed a lovely warm welcome, hot tips, delightful chats and delicious treats and total privacy. What Wendy and Fletch have created is both unique and authentic . The bed was so comfortable, the bath truly gorgeous, the rain on the roof, the well appointed kitchen full of generous extras … all so much appreciated. We won’t forget the fabulous coffee, muesli , yoghurt, juice etc but the hot sourdough bread was over the top delicious. 2 nights was not enough to appreciate all the area has to offer. Hurunui Jacks is a true find. It has a rustic appeal balanced with all the comforts thoughtfully provided. I’d much prefer to stay there than any flash, expensive place with no character. This place has an authentic charm and quality that is priceless.

If you crave for luxury try this beautiful accomodation. It is brand new, quality everything and makes you feel great, you just want to stay there. Only a few minutes drive from town and in countryside location. We just loved it.
