Stylish, spacious, airy and deceptively private house sized flat with a view of the beach front and sea - perfectly located in central Aldeburgh. Close to the ancient Moot Hall and approx a 60 second walk to the beach, boat pond and 2 mins to one of the best fish and chip shops in the area, the Co-op (conveniently open long hours) and other great shops, restaurants and cinema.

the bindery is such a cosy place to stay with everything you could need. the kitchen and bathroom were super clean and we had milk in the fridge for a cuppa on arrival + some fizz to celebrate our 40th anniversary+ crisps to snack on. A pretty posy in a vase greeted us and the garden was beautiful. Jamie showed us where everthing was and then gave us privacy for the rest of our stay but only a message away if needed. you have everything you need in Orford if you want to stay put including a castle and a harbour. i would not hesitate to recommend anyone stay here and the bindery is perfect for two. Jamies mum lives next door. she was a bookbinder and the bindery now converted for airbnb guests was her workshop before retiring hence the name

A really charming cottage, well decorated. Extremely comfortable beds. Quiet location. 10-15 minute walk to the centre of Aldeburgh. About the same to walk to Red House or a 15 minute drive to Snape.

We were happy with bringing our own sheets and towels which keeps the price down. The cottage is in an excellent location a few minutes walk to Aldeburgh High Street, the shops and restaurants. Also good for river and coastal walks. Being able to park so close to the centre was great. We didn't do much cooking but there are plenty of utensils. From the description I wasn't sure there is a shower in the property but there is, over the bath, plenty of hot water. We had a bit of a hiccup with the heating and the evenings were chilly. We couldn't get the convector heaters working but managed to light the gas fire after several tries. We sent messages to the owners and they replied quickly. The stairs are very steep, particularly to the loft bedroom, as mentioned in other reviews so not suitable if you have any mobility issues. Overall we would be happy to stay again on our next visit to Aldeburgh.

A lovely place to stay. The house was very well equipped and a great deal of thought had gone into its organization. There was a splendid choice of treats to welcome us on arrival and an abundance of useful information re the vicinity. The garden was very attractive and ideal for al fresco dining and contained a very useful summer house for bike storage. The off rd parking was the opposite side of the rd and somewhat limited. This didn't present us with any problems as we went out on foot or bike. However it might be an issue for someone who wished to frequently move their car. Overall a splendid holiday let.

Fantastic stay and would thoroughly recommend. Spotlessly clean, lovely welcome left of wine and nibbles, great views and close to everything in beautiful Aldeburgh. Only comment would be that it would be good to have a slightly earlier check in as 4pm is quite late, but we do understand that cleaning from previous renters takes time. There are 2 lots of steps up to the apartment which might not suit anyone elderly or unfit. And the parking bays are a little tight so when all the apartments are full, it may cause issues.

Extremely pleased to have stayed here. Clean and tidy inside. Initial impressions from front are uninspiring and property looks small however once inside its beautifully equipped and is very spacious. Bedrooms are large enough and beds super comfortable. Rear courtyard garden is a nice suntrap with a few plants and nice bench with cushions provided. Parking around back in dedicated parking space. Hardly any noise from neighbours and lovely location for walking into Aldeburgh along river path. Tesco and Co-op just down road so no problem with getting food.
