We had a great stay at Jo’s amazing little cottage. View was to die for! And just a short walk down the pathway and steps to the beach. Place was clean and everything as described with a well equiped kitchen. Was great to have the heat pump too as it is now starting to get a bit chilly in the mornings. We have immensely enjoyed our stay here. There is plenty of room for the kids to play and of course a beautiful beach very close to the bach. A lovely place to enjoy the outdoors and spend time together. Also a good location to explore the Far North and come back to a tranquil place at the end of the day.

The Hokianga sand dunes are so beautiful from the south side of the harbour and even in Autumn this stay gave us the best unobstructed views, lapping waters, and a peaceful, relaxing place to take some well-earned time out. The house was pristine and perfect for our group of six, plenty of room and well-designed for everyone to be alone or be together as they wished. The hosts were responsive, helpful and proactive with communications and accommodated us when we accidentally booked the wrong date and then added some people. Just lovely.

We had an awesome stay at Clive’s bach. The children had lots of fun either on the beach or the garden. The wonderful deck was the perfect spot to have sundowners or early morning coffee. The rooms were comfortable with more than enough beds for our large group. Would visit again

Lovely property with everything you could need! Deborah was a fantastic host - incredibly friendly and kind! 5 mins walk to Hihi beach and town only a short 10-15min drive away this is a perfect spot to explore the area. I’ll definitely stay again if I’m back in the area. Many thanks indeed for letting me stay!

One of the things that’s hard about finding a place in a new place is the sense of relative distances. We were further outside of town than we had expected, but man was it worth it. The views down to the bay were spectacular. And being from the northern hemisphere, the night sky is of particular interest. We were lucky with high pressure, so being just far enough outside of town gave us breathtaking star gazing. Jo was so helpful in making suggestions for places to see, quickly able to help us prioritize based on the way we roll, a good mix of walking and driving, a wonderful resource and real hospitality pro. Already looking forward to our next visit.

Lovely place nestled in the hills of Russell. Little drive into the main town but nice relaxed area. Place was spacious. There are a few other rooms but not really an issue. Views are great.

The studio was spacious, airy, comfortable, and had amazing views. We appreciated the well-appointed kitchen and loved the cozy reading chair and hammock chair! John and Aynsley were super thoughtful and provided so many local recommendations. Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate during our visit but we couldn’t think of a better place to stay in to read/watch movies/play games and watch the rain through the trees. Don’t hesitate; just book! 🙂

Great location - walkable to Paihia waterfront but away from the bustle of the main road. It was very clean and had everything we needed including kitchen utensils. The bathroom was nice and spacious with the spa being a very nice bonus.

Whilst it is a modest home, it has everything needed for an affordable, relaxing and enjoyable time away. Couple minutes walk to a lovely beach, kiwi and other native birds literally across the road, host guided us on the first night and was full of knowledge. A real treat that the kids (and parents) really enjoyed. House has all the amenities you would expect. We self catered and had all we needed. Good shower, washer & dryer, good deck with sea views, comfortable living area and comfy beds. Really was great value for money and would happily stay again. If you want 5 star there’s plenty in the area at 5 star prices, but this place offers fantastic bang for buck (save dollars and use for a tour or activity). Thanks guys, we enjoyed your hospitality 👍

This place has amazing views of the water and sand dunes. Has everything thing you need to cook meals. In a suburban street with houses close by. Lovely small towns to discover and walks to fantastic views only a short drive away. We took a drive to the forest to look at the Large Kauri pines which was fantastic.
