The flat is within an easy 20 minute walk from the train station (also on a bus route) and easy access to the city centre. We wanted to also be within walking distance of the university's Kings Hall. The accommodation was exactly what we required for two, although I think that if there had been four adults the sitting room would have been on the cramped size. We didn't cook, but there appeared to be everything needed to prepare meals in the kitchen; the fresh milk left in the fridge was much appreciated as we arrived in the late evening. The flat was very clean and in a good area, near a busy main road, but this did not disturb us at night.

We had a lovely, peaceful stay in Charlotte's property. PERFECT for 2 people. We received clear instructions re how to get there, with excellent follow-up contact information from Charlotte in case we had any problems or queries - something we didn't need to do, but really appreciated Charlotte's concern. The property was spotlessly clean and very comfortable. The quality of the furnishings was 1st-class. The welcome pack of 'goodies' was a lovely touch and much appreciated. The Angus area is one of Scotland's best-kept secrets and Charlotte's house is definitely one of the 'accommodation jewels' in Montrose's crown. Angus has it all - beaches, glens, historic sites and 1st-class local produce. What's not to like? A return visit is certainly on the cards.

Our second time here and another great stay. The place is spacious and well-equipped and easily walkable to local shops, restaurants and pubs; Carron To Mumbai is a great restaurant and only a couple of minutes walk away.

Lucie's place was perfect for me. An easy walk to the university or downtown, felt very safe. It just felt like home for my stay, and had everything I needed. I'd recommend it to anyone, and would book it again if I'm coming back.

Very clean and cozy apartment. Well-stocked kitchen with everything you need. Great for 4 people. The photos match what's on offer. Located in a great location near the very characteristic port where there are very nice restaurants. From the windows, you can admire the sea. Magnificent view. Street parking hassle-free. We have always found a safe haven in front of the entrance door.

Lovely find. The Smoke House is like stepping into a warm hug. We all loved the quirkiness of it. The fabulous social spaces. Really enjoyed our stay. So generously stocked with essentials.

We had a lovely stay in Stonehaven. A couple of nights away with my hubby, son and girlfriend. Lovely coastal walk with the dogs. Accommodation very comfortable with everything you required for a nice stay away from home. Loved the air freshener in the lounge!

We were looking for a chilled break which also met our dog’s needs. The cottage is in a spectacular location, facing the sea with the coastal path right at the bottom of the garden. You do need a car to access this property which sits at the end of a single track lane, adjacent to the A92. The cottage was spotlessly clean, homely and very comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering. We were very lucky with the weather and were able to enjoy the enclosed garden area. The coastal path walk to Johnshaven is very pretty and only takes around 30-40 minutes where there is a pub/restaurant serving great food, excellent cafe..”Hidden treasures” and a lovely gift shop, the Starfish Studio, as well as the harbour. Claire gave us some very useful advice about other dog friendly eating venues around the area including Charlton Farm and Picsnax at St Cyrus nature reserve/beach. St Cyrus beach is stunning and is a must visit. We plan to return soon ..so much to see!

Well equiped and clean accommodation in a central location. Malcolm very helpful and happy to impart his local knowledge. Plenty local facilities with some excellent local restaurants. All in all a wonderful stay.

Had a wonderful weekend at collieston beach, the weather was amazing! The house being on the beach front exceeded expectations. The house was larger than expected as pictures don't do the place justice. Carol was great at communicating through out and even sent over a load of towels for us. Thanks for letting us stay.

Quite an amazing place! Perfect for large groups, huge rooms and beds, quiet spaces, congregational spaces and loads to do around. Gillian was fantastic and would hope to go again!

Fantastic house.. so charming.. beautiful area , stunning view. Felt at home from the minute we arrived. The house had everything you could possibly need … so well organised. Alison was a super quick responsive host , also great detailed local information. The house was stocked with so many extra items, for cooking etc & a much appreciated welcome basket. We would stay again & absolutely recommend it. It was difficult to leave such a wonderful house . Many thanks x

Wonderful location and perfect for a getaway to Stonehaven. It's a 20ish minute walk from the station (or about a 5 minute bus journey if you time it right). There's a great view out of the window and the flat is just 30 seconds away from the stunning harbour where you can go on a beautiful circular walk up to the castle and down through the woods. There's excellent locally-brewed beers available from The Marine Hotel on the harbour too. As for the flat itself there's everything you'd need from toys for the kids to a bed for the dog. Perhaps the sofa could have been comfier and the pressure on the shower a little stronger but that's very much splitting hairs. Fully recommended for exploring Stonehaven.

I needed a place to stay at very late notice and Sophie was responsive and allowed me to check in within an hour. I was given clear instructions on check in and when I arrived the flat was clean and warm. Handy free on street parking right outside the flat. The flat is stocked with tea and coffee and cooking supplies as well as toiletries. It had everything I needed for a short stay. Thank you!

Great location within Stonehaven, with loads of free parking outside the apartment. Very clean and spacious. Jackie was very friendly and gave lots of details for check in and the local area.

I stayed at Driftwood for 3 nights with my husband and teenage son. The house is comfortable and well stocked, plenty of dishes, cutlery etc. The street is peaceful and I enjoyed being able to see the sea from the windows. It is just a short walk to a pub, restaurant (fish and chip shop) and Chinese takeaway. It is a short, flat walk (just over a mile) to Inverbervie for a Scotmid. The walk to Johnshaven is longer, however, a lovely flat walk too. Gourdon is in a lovely area, and hopefully I'll visit again.

Absolutely fantastic apartment and a great host. Unfortunately our stay was cut short due to work commitments as it was a nice place to stay, hopefully will be back up soon

Three of us stayed at Richard and Julie's place for a couple of nights. Stonehaven was the first stop on our trip and it is a charming town. There's a lot to do there including strolling down the beach promenade, walk/hikes nearby, and welcoming restaurants! The flat is in a perfect location for all the things. It is cozy, clean, and comfortable. Richard was extra helpful providing suggestions for local places and tips for the rest of our stops. We didn't have any issues during our stay, but very responsive leading up to our stay.

This was a great property, at a great price. Facilities were perfect for my needs on my short stay. It happens to be very close by to relatives I visit, so I will keep this mind for future visits. Thank you.
