Vacation rentals in Yusuhara, Takaoka District

A gorgeous home in a wonderful rural location in the centre of Shikoku. The house is vast with lots of living space downstairs, and the rooms upstairs were large and airy with access to the picturesque balcony. There were lots of outside sitting areas to enjoy being in the forest on the mountainside. The whole house was extremely well stocked, with every amenity we could imagine. There were lots of thoughtful touches too, like little snacks, hand drawn maps of the neighbourhood, and information about local attractions. The bathroom was spotless and spacious, feeling like your own private onsen. The adjacent old-style Japanese house was beautiful, we felt honoured to be allowed to look around it. We would heartily recommend this house to anyone looking to stay in rural Shikoku. Thanks to Sono for everything for making our visit spectacular.

家族8人でお伺いしました。車1台は高浜港に駐車し、1台をフェリーに乗せて興居島へ。泊港からほど近く、南国風の外観、家の中も南国風にリフォームされ、家具やキッチンの家電もオシャレで、昔の火鉢に観葉植物があったり、オーナー様の良い趣味が感じられます。バーベキューをしましたが、食材とカセットボンベ、飲み物以外は持参しなくてもちゃんと準備されています。タオルや歯ブラシなども清潔に準備されていました。惜しいのは、宿泊先で楽しみすぎて、興居島の観光が十分にできなかったところでしょうか（笑）連泊して興居島を満喫することをお勧めいたします♪

This place was awesome and even though I was a solo traveller I used all the rooms. The kitchen had everything I needed to make simple meals (even proper knives) and the bathroom/ shower was spacious and clean. Ryoko was a terrific host. She was able to answer all my questions and was so helpful in every way. This was the best value place I think I have ever stayed in, across 3 countries. If you do not cope well with steep stairs (about 10, I think) then you won't like this place. My legs got a good workout using them. Great views from the top floor. Many thanks.

My family (10&11 year old daughters) and we had a wonderful stay at Minmi’s place. From the time we arrived she was a phenomenal host. She even arranged for dolphins to swim in the ocean right in front of the property as we arrived. Her place is beautifully designed with super high-end appliances and dishware. My daughters loved the loft-like design where they could see the stars through the skylight. Minmi’s restaurant next door was amazing and she was so nice to my daughter’s taking them on a walk with the neighbor’s dog. Nice beach 9mins away and cute old town 30mins further southh. Highly recommend.

チェックインの日に遅い便での到着でしたが、駅まで迎えにきてくださったり、寒くないかなど気にかけていただきとても親切にしていただきました。 駅からも近いため、しまなみ海道サイクリングや他の駅に行くときも便利でしたし、閑静な住宅街にあるため夜も静かです。 宿自体古いお家ですが、設備は新しく綺麗でとても広く1人での滞在は大満足でした。 また今治に旅行をする際には是非滞在したいと考えております。

二家族8人で利用させていただきました。 本当に素敵な空間で、大人も子供も楽しむことができました。 駐車スペースが広く、荷物の搬入や車の管理もしやすかったです。 また、庭スペースは子供がシャボン玉をして、思い切り走り回る余裕がありました。 屋内は、飽きない仕掛けやグッズがたくさんあるため、一泊ではもったいないくらいの宿でした。

Masao מארח בבית שבנה במו ידיו. תחושה מאוד ביתי. קיבל אותנו בעצמו בערב והראה לנו את כל הבית והמתקנים שלו. חצר מקסימה, גדולה ומטופחת עם צמחיה פורחת, בריכת דגים. סביבה מאוד שקטה וכפרית. האי שיקוקו פשוט נפלא ויפה. מאוד ממליצים להגיע אם אין רכב, קשה להגיע, לכן מומלץ למי שמטייל עם רכב

I loved staying here! The host was so friendly and very funny and sweet I felt welcome and relaxed! My room was clean and comfortable with a warm and fluffy futon and I slept really well. Most importantly the location was so beautiful! The stars on the clear night were amazing but maybe even better was the sea of clouds that appeared over the town in the morning! You really feel that you are completely at peace in nature. I came here on a pilgrim walking trip and the location is excellent for this journey and the nice house with a kind host is the perfect place to relax after the long day 💕
