Wow! This place was above expectations, absolutely beautiful cottage and facilities. The cottage itself is so spacious and finished to a very high standard, spotlessly clean. The grounds and facilities on offer are superb. The location is stunning and perfect base for exploring the surrounding areas, so many places to visit. We’re already planning our next stay, thank you for a perfect stay!

Absolutely brilliant place! Found this place by accident and already looking to come back with some friends. The hot tub/pool is amazing! We had the perfect weather for it. The house has everything you could need, home from home! Spotlessly clean too! Lee was brilliant from the moment I booked it right through to us leaving his place. Can't wait to come back, thank you!

6 adults, 3 children, a baby and dogs stayed at The Byre for 4 nights over New Year and we all had an amazing time! The accommodation was lovely and the private heated pool was a huge hit with the kids!! Sue was really helpful and responsive from the point of booking and throughout the stay. We will definitely be back!

Russell and Clare are great hosts who have created comfortable, well-appointed accommodation which is warm and cosy in winter and I imagine light and airy in summer. The beds were lush. The shower is great - powerful and consistent temperature. Eppleby is peaceful with walks from the cottage, a local shop & tea room - very friendly - and pub. It's a great location for exploring Richmondshire and Co. Durham. We had a relaxing short break at The Old Milk House and hope to return.

Myself, 9 others and 1 small dog booked on of Sue's fantastic cottages for a reunion weekend. Sue was very easy to communicate with, gave us the guidebook ahead of time virtually for any queries (we were very interested in the pizza oven and games room) Facilties were excellent, we were lucky that no other cottages on the site (only 3 others) were in use during our stay, so had free roam of the site and facilties. The local recommendations were brilliant. We went to the old black bull down the road for dinner on the first night and then again for roast dinner on Sunday - mega The house itself is just as shown in the photos, more than comfortable to sleep and house 10 of us for the weekend. Special mention to the hottub, (which is private for your house and I believe comes with all houses) and to Paul who was more than helpful coming to our rescue and reviving out pizza night when we experienced some issues with the oven. 10/10 would go again.

Celebrated my mums 80th birthday making memories 8 guests plus a dog. everything about the stables was perfect all on one floor spacious clean and fully equipped. The outdoor area was especially good we had lovely weather so enjoyed the hot tub and patio area. pizza shack was brilliant we were definitely useless at making pizzas!but Paul stepped in to help Big thankyou Sue and Paul made us very welcome lovely friendly couple . my dad said I quote "we backed a winner here " would highly recommend

We had a big family gathering with lots of coming and going over four nights. Sue was really kind - from unexpected dogs to over enthusiastic kids, we couldn’t have asked for better, more patient hosts. Really special weekend for lots of reasons and very grateful for such a lovely place to stay.

Adham’s property was perfect for the one night we spent in Durham. Really easy to access the city, easy to find and great communication from Adham. Thank you - we’ll be back

We had a lovely stay at Robert’s. The location worked out very well for us. The place was fresh and clean and we relaxed well in comfy beds. It’s well presented and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Would definitely book again.

Wonderful house - we’ll definitely be staying again. The walk down by the river is 5 mins from the house and lovely, and the hike up the hill to the coast to coast path is also great.

We stayed at Karen & Charlie’s cottage over the Christmas period, it was decorated beautifully and had absolutely everything we needed to make our trip memorable. The cottage is set in a lovely village with a fantastic pub literally 2 mins walk. Karen was brilliant when it came to communication and check in couldn’t have been easier. We all loved the cottage and would highly recommend a stay here.

Just had a lovely weekend staying here, every single person that came was saying the home was such a great find and so beautiful. 100% will consider revisiting and staying again, the owner was so lovely and communicated clearly every step of the way.

Steve's place was the perfect base for our visit to see family in Spennymoor. Very easy to get to on the bus from Durham and convenient for walking into Spennymoor town centre. The flat is beautifully decorated and Steve was able to provide a cot and high chair for our 1 year old. Great hosts, would highly recommend!

We had a great stay with friends at the property over the back holiday weekend. lovely spacious property. very welcoming. a little walk away from the town centre(roughly 15mins)

This is a great place to stay. We stayed with our two kids (8 and 5) plus elderly parents. Despite the proximity of the road the double glazing is really effective and we hardly noticed any noise even at busier times. The house looks small from the road but is very spacious, going a long way back and up. Despite the long kitchen and living room extension at the back there is still a very long garden, and the proximity of two small supermarkets and restaurants came in very handy. Olivia was very responsive and took care of an issue we had on the first day, very friendly and a good host. Place was clean and tidy, with comfortable beds - highly recommended

Claire & Guy’s cottage is absolutely beautiful. Claire was amazing at responding to my messages really quickly and even allowed us flexible check in and check out times, which was a god send with our two children. The cottage is up a little track surrounded by beautiful countryside and feels so peaceful but is still close to lots of things. The cottage is decorated beautifully and has everything you need. We were given plenty of instructions prior to arriving and we had everything we need throughout the stay. Can’t wait to come back one day! For anyone attending a wedding at Middleton Lodge, it’s about 10-15mins away so perfect location!

Excellent accommodation. If I'm ever working up this way again, I will definitely look to book this place.

Great location and exactly what you need as a base to explore the Yorkshire Coast and Countryside from. Plenty of on street parking and local eateries, plus Sainsbury’s local close by.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay while we visited family in the area. All facilities that you could need. Peaceful location. Lovely garden and outdoor seating area. Great for my mother who can be challenging with mobility. Stairs have bannisters and helpful sensor lights if you need to be up in be night. Couldn’t fault it

Firstly we have to say a very warm welcome was had. We are very new to Air B and B. Many little items were found, such as dog treats and the welcome pack. Erica came across as very understanding as we took our own bedding as we do not use a duvet. The garden is fully enclosed which suited our dogs perfect. The baby gate came in very usefully as the rules of no pets upstairs.
