Great location, awesome restaurants around and really close to the geiko area in Gion :) The apartment has all ammenities included and it was clean. It has a bit of basement smell when you get in from outside, but we get used to it fast when inside, nothing that bothered us.

Wonderful stay if you’re headed to Kyoto! Clean and cozy, convenient access to several transit stations, and a great little neighborhood. Will definitely be back!

We had an early check-in and our host received us with a warm cup of tea. Gave us local recommendations and showed us how to get around. It was really close to the Kyoto station and a comfortable place to stay in.

I was there for 2 nights and found the place to be amazing. It is right next to by metro line which made it convenient to reach all the places we wanted to check out. She was also a gracious host who proactively provided the information and been responsive about the questions. Will recommend.

The space was just right for solo travelers. Personally, it was quite far from Kyoto station but still walkable. The amenities offered were nice and functional. The hosts were responsive and very considerate. Thank you, see you again in Kyoto!

This was my third time staying. I have another booking upcoming . It is a sizeable apartment with everything I need to live in Kyoto. the location is perfect for my activities. Sumi makes sure I do not want for anything. the river is a block away, Keihan train is a few minute walk. I look forward to my next stay.

After spending a few nights in a hotel in Tokyo it was great to stay at May’s property which was spacious and met all our needs. May’s husband met us at the property and gave us clear instructions and recommendations for local dining options. It was a great location within walking distance to shops, restaurants, Nijo Castle and the Nishiki markets. The property had all the amenities advertised and was great to have washing facilities. Excellent accommodation, totally beyond expectation! The room is located in a pretty and beautiful residential area but is very close to the downtown. Lady Seiko is very helpful and kind. We really enjoy our stay in Kyoto and for 100% will visit this beautiful city again sometime.

Great stay, lots of convenience store near by. Bus stop is walkable, very peaceful and quiet neighborhood. And if you plan to drive there is a paid parking near by and it is very near to a lot of attractions. Host is always checking in on us and responsive to our reply. Will definitely recommend!

This home was perfect for our Kyoto trip the area it’s located in is close to everything but not too close that it’s noisy and so after a long day you can actually relax and sleep so well here. Has all the essential amenities needed (shampoo/conditioner, a toiletry kit, laundry soap, disposable house shoes). Has a heating unit works very well as does the washing machine. The home was very clean. Upstairs there is a set up bedroom with two beds and a Japanese style room with floor beds in the closet that can be set up. There is two floors and two bathrooms, one on each floor. Home looks just like the pictures, very beautiful architecture and so spacious. We came here early March, there was light rain and the home provided umbrellas which was a lovely touch. There is a tv with an Apple TV. Overall a perfect choice and would stay here again in the future!

Perfect location for a stay in Kyoto. Has everything you need and a beautiful spot next to the stream and close to loads of transport links. Accommodation was clean and comfortable with everything you need on hand. Super friendly communication and instructions with the Ryokan connection very useful for bag transfers and storage.

Amazing place! Great location! For 2 people, it’s perfect! However, if u have 1 or 2 extra people sleeping on the sofa bed, it is as hard as sleeping on plywood. Thankfully, the host was super nice and provided a futon to go on top! Just be sure to ask for one if you have more than 2 people! Bikes are absolutely exceptional to have especially in Kyoto, with the freedom to ride anywhere around the city (also, ¥1000/bike that lasts 4 days is affordable compared to renting elsewhere). We would recommend this stay!

It is a place that I will definitely return to, very close to Kyoto station, and with the buses you could move to all the tourist places in the city. Very comfortable and clean

Ideal place to stay in Kyoto on a budget. There are several bus stops, convenience stores, restaurants and other amenities within walking distance of the building. Despite being located in a densely populated area, the neighbourhood is a very quiet and pleasant place to be. Very responsive and helpful host - within the apartment there is also a useful instruction booklet.

A great space in a great spot. Less than a 3 minute walk from a Family Mart which is great for breakfast, snacks and basic items. 10 minute walk to the station which had both subway and JR lines for quick and easy access to the rest of Kyoto. Nice quiet neighborhood, nice rooms with good closet space. Jacky was very friendly and helpful.
