“We absolutely loved our stay at Tim and Donna’s place. Firs the location. Wye River Beach is such a gorgeous part of the Great Ocean Road, super close to Lorne but away from the hustle and bustle - we preferred the small town feel and the great pub (that view!) and general store. It’s about a 2 hour pleasant drive to the 12 Apostles and the stunning Loch Ard Gorge, which are a must-visit (grab a scallop pie from the Apollo Bay bakery on your way back for lunch - yum!). We were a party of 3 (1 couple and a single guest) and the size of the property was perfect and we had everything we needed so ended up spending a lot of time at home just enjoying the house. It was super cosy with a fantastic fireplace (and wood supplied) and beautifully decorated with every little stylish touch considered. We loved having coffee (also supplies, with a great coffee machine) and wine on the huge balcony surrounded by beautiful trees. We were delighted by the visiting local birds - kookaburras and cockatoos - that we fed from the balcony with the supplied seeds. The space was sparkling clean and we had all the basics we needed (no wifi though - but phone network is strong) to make our stay super comfortable. Thank you Tim & Donna for a wonderful stay, we will be back!”
This charming apartment features a minimalist aesthetic and mesmerizing ocean views. A lush outdoor area perfect to relax and unwind in has seating around a firepit and a spa perched on the edge of the garden. Greet the sunrise from the patio or take the private path to the beach.
“By far my favourite weekend experience staying in an Air Bnb in Victoria. This place has everything you could possibly need for a romantic weekend away. The views are absolutely spectacular (there is even an ocean view from the bed), the bed is beyond comfortable, there is a fire pit for you to enjoy during the evenings and who can forget to mention to amazing hot tub looking over the beach. We really enjoyed the easy access path to the beach when we chose to venture out from the house. You cannot fault this place and it's comfort level. We had some sunny days and some rainy days and it was equally as beautiful in whatever weather came our way. Mary was super responsive and helpful. Thank you so much for an amazing stay.”
This modern 2 storey, 3 bedroom house, is a 700 metre walk (or drive) from the beach. Views of ocean and picturesque Wye valley from balcony, perched high in the surrounding treetops. Well equipped kitchen, bedrooms downstairs, open living with balcony upstairs. Please note the 3rd bedroom is ideally for children only - a set of bunks with trundle - therefore although the house can accommodate 7 people this is ideally 4 adults & 3 children. Pets by arrangement a possibility.
“Richard’s place was fantastic and could not recommend his place enough! A large and spacious house nestled high amongst the hills ofWye River. Beautiful views of the gum trees and the ocean. So nice to hear the waves crashing and the cockatoos during our stay. The house was spotless and is really well equipped - full kitchen, lots of great cookbooks to peruse and games to play. Beds were very comfortable and Richard was very quick to respond when we had some questions. This place was perfect for our family of 4 (kids aged 6 and 4). We would definitely stay here again. Thanks!”
