“Walking into the Vineyard House was like walking into a luxury boutique hotel, it’s beautiful and had so many thoughtful touches, we felt at home immediately. Hildegard and her husband Wa, were incredibly welcoming and couldn’t have been more helpful during our stay - such kind, warm and generous people. The house is situated in the middle of a vineyard and we enjoyed many an evening sitting round the fire, wine glass in hand, looking at the stunning scenery and incredible star scape. We loved visiting the BC Wine cellar door and doing the chocolate / wine pairing, we came away with more bottles than we can possibly transport home! We do Airbnb because of the amazing people you meet and incredible places you get to stay. This is one of the best we’ve experienced in our ten years of holidaying - we couldn’t recommend it more :)”
Lovely tranquil rooms with abundant natural light and secluded garden entrance. The rooms are partnered with a luxurious bathroom with ample space.
“Annemarie's place is in a lovely quiet part of town. We had a very comfortable stay. The bathroom is huge with a nice shower and bath. Everything we needed was supplied.”
Get away, truly away, in one of the most soulful places in South Africa. The Cottage in the Kloof is nestled in pristine, serene surrounds in Robertson’s Nuy Valley… the sounds of nature and beautiful 360° views can be appreciated from your very own stone cottage just kilometres from a quaint craft brewery and restaurant, and wine farm.
“Cottage in the Kloof was a welcome surprise and a secluded gem of a find tucked away at the far end of the kloof and farm and once we had traversed the ongoing winding road (in a much needed 4x4) were met by views of our cabin and it’s remote little setting. A very cute but larger than expected cottage awaited us kitted our with all the necessary items needed for a short stay. All you need to do is arrive and settle on the patio overlooking the mountains and vegetation. Watching the sun set with a sundowner in the wood burning tub whilst listening to the birds was a beautiful distraction and perfect getaway to refuel, unwind and enjoy some solitude. The backyard has a lovely rustic entertaining area for lighting up a fire and BBQ while watching the sun dip into the valley. The cabin, it’s perfect location on the farm and it’s accommodating hosts made for a wonderful getaway into the wilderness. And luckily no cheeky baboons causing any mischief on our stay. Can’t wait to return to this cottage in the Kloof. Thank you again Jackie ...”
