Vacation rentals with outdoor seating in Wirksworth

A beautiful cottage in a perfect location. The cottage had everything we could need and more. The beds were very comfortable, the accommodation was clean and there was a lovely selection of books and games. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children), and had tonnes of space. It could have very comfortably have slept 6. Hartington is a beautiful village with everything you could need.. pubs, a village store, tea room, cheese shop… We did a nice 3 mile walk right from the door to the river dove and to a little cave (our 4 year old son doesn’t enjoy walking but he absolutely loved it). Our 7 year old daughter said she will be coming back to The Cottage with her own family when she’s older. We will be recommending this accommodation to family. And hope to be back one day. Family reunion over a long weekend. House was ideal for our needs (4 adult couples+one single adult). The layout is very convivial but affords lots of privacy for sleeping/showering. We made abundant use of the outdoor seating plus the gas barbecue. Area is great for walking, National Trust properties etc. No shops in Osgathorpe itself but an easy 10 minute drive to nearest supermarket. Walkable foodie pub about half an hour away over fields. House is very new, clean and well equipped. Stunning floor to ceiling windows and doors let in beautiful light at all times. Lots of parking and very peaceful. Thank you Lucy! Just what we needed. Highly recommend this property.

My family and I have just returned from a lovely stay at Lynwood House. Lynwood House was clean and modern while retaining period features, it had everything we needed to feel at home. It was an easy walk to all the local amenities and some great walks from the doorstep. Communication was great too. We would highly recommend this wonderful House and would return in a flash.

We really enjoyed our stay and the house was clean and spacious and as described. Alison was very helpful and replied to all queries within a matter of minutes every time. We enjoyed the Italian down the road and our trip to Alton Towers and hope to come back again in the future.

Stayed four nights in Emma’s well equipped and spotless home which is just a short walk from Worksop centre (there’s also a Sainsbury’s Local at end of the road). We had no problem parking on the quiet road out front courtesy of the supplied parking permit and when the sun shone spent time in the pleasant sunny aspect garden. Emma’s parents live in the adjoining property and available to assist with any immediate issues or questions. Would have no hesitation staying again in the future. Recommended.

We had a lovely stay here. The barn is set in beautiful countryside, with a lovely view over Hathersage. It was really special to be able to have our breakfast on the terrace in such surroundings. We drove the 10 mins journey into Hathersage to use the wonderful outdoor pool, start a couple of lovely walks, and visit the David Mellor shop and cafe. It was lovely to be able to walk over the moors to Eyam straight from the House. The house was well equipped and we had everything we needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay! This was the second time we have stayed here and I plan to come again!

The Whitwick property was a perfect example of an English country cottage with all of the modern conveniences. When we first walked into the house it had the essential period features, a warm comfortable lounge, that led into a lovely dining room then onto a modern country kitchen with period features. The property had two lovely bathrooms and very comfortable upstairs bedrooms. There was a parking space on site and we had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. Great pubs and a co-op store for all of your needs, was just a short dive away. The property also had a generous garden with lawn, outdoor dining area and pretty plants that attracted bumble bees. We had a wonderfully relaxing stay at the Whitwick property.

Lovely stay..bunnies in the garden (beautiful garden) tea, coffee and yummy cookies. Comfortable..easy parking. Super helpful and flexible.

Cosy quirky upstairs apartment in a cul de sac of houses. Centrally located but extremely quiet and neighbourly. Well equipped kitchen and comfy bed. Perhaps some new rugs needed in bathroom.

Mike is a great host, with proactive communication, a great willingness to help, and with a great property. Mike’s approach as a host is extremely professional and organised. The property itself is a lovely home, in great condition and with plentiful availability of all the amenities that were described. Would recommend.

It’s like visiting your Aunt & Uncle. On arrival we were made a brew whilst we unpacked. John had a wealth of knowledge about the area for us to bike/walk in addition to our plans. There was a slow cooker which was brilliant as meant like at home we could put tea on before mountain biking for the day. There was everything you could possibly need including a spare towel for my hair which no other Airbnb has had. We will be looking for other things to do in the area so we can stay again.

I chose this location for a family visit to Sheffield and for activities in the Peak District which was ideally situated. I didnt spend that much time in the apartment but it was clean and functional for my requirements with a nice bright and cosy feel. The overall area is quiet and has a nice calm view into the rear garden. Would certainly consider for return visits.

Had an amazing time at Holmdene in the Peak District. was perfectly located for all the walking and trips/tours we wanted to do in Castleton. Charlotte & Stuart were wonderful hosts who greeted us warmly on arrival and Charlotte gave us a detailed chat on all the walks we could do tho we didn't get to experience all of them in our short stay due to weather. We had a lovely evening in the pod with friends and we felt very at home in the apartment which was spotless and well equipped for all our needs and we would highly recommend Holmdene to anyone looking to stay in Castleton. we will definitely be back for more visits. Teresa and Buster were very friendly, helpful and welcoming hosts. The unit was beautiful, comfortable and clean. It had everything we needed for our visit plus Teresa left us few extra treats, which were most appreciated. We bought tickets to attend the Paul Heaton concert at Bramill Lane in December '24 which took place 25th May '25. We wanted to stay within walking distance of the city. The Hollies ticked the box! Lisa was very responsive to answer any questions we had when we booked. On the day of arrival Lisa messaged us to say we could access the property earlier, this meant we had extra time to have a fab meal at the Thai restaurant down Ecclesall Road, before going to see the show which was fab!! The Hollies was very clean and well looked after. The kitchen was unique with it's pull out drawer to reveal breakfast cereals and jams. Finding a loaf of bread and milk in the fridge was a lovely touch. The bathroom had a great shower and bath with lots of shower gel/shampoo supplied. The bed was comfortable with good pillows. Lisa and Frank are brilliant hosts. At the end of the road are the Botanical Gardens which are great to explore and city centre is a 20 minute walk. It was a good night away.

our stay in Buxton was a really good weekend we stayed in a very clean and well self contained flat the cobbles Sarah was on hand 24 7 if needed highly recommended

Maureen was a great host and even provided recommendations of restaurants and activities. Fantastic location for the sites and walks whilst also peaceful. Will definitely book again.

What a great find. Perfect location for peaceful walks with my Dalmatian Daisy. The accommodation is finished to a very high standard with plenty of room and felt secure and safe. Most important to me was that it was dog friendly and it really was. Daisy had her own secure area to play in and this is just so helpful. Hosts are friendly and the info provided to help you to find the place is excellent, also lots of info in the accommodation about the local area. Would definitely recommend and also would love to stay again for a longer break.

Flat was clean and comfortable. We loved the decor and the riverside terrace. The area has plenty of pubs and restaurants within walking distance and Macclesfield parkrun is just up the road. There was a lovely local guide left printed in the house which was helpful choosing somewhere to eat in a new area. Parking was a bit complicated, but Scott gave plenty of tips on where to park, both free and paid. They were responsive to questions and really helpful throughout our stay. Really handy for the train station as I had to go to London for an event. Under 5 minutes walk. Would definitely stay again if in the area.

This is a beautiful and perfectly laid out annexe apartment. Super clean and decorated/fitted to a high standard. Loved the extras such as the coffee machine and pods, and a very kind welcome treat! Paul and Rosie are quick to respond and both have a friendly manner. The annexe is attached to the family home, but I did not hear a thing from anyone else once inside. It was very helpful to have a car space provided on the driveway. Thank you for great hosting.

Brilliant spot. Everything you need in one spot. Bed was very comfy and relaxing. This has no impact on the location or the place itself. Really enjoyed our stay.

Absolutely loved staying here, located was perfect surroundings are very peaceful. The apartment is clean and modern, convenient for shops and bars etc Hosts have been so thoughtful and have thought of everything to make for a comfortable stay. Thoroughly recommend a visit.

Beryl and her son are wonderful people ,they are super friendly .I loved the apartment it was sparkling clean and fresh smell ,bed was extremely comfortable. Everything you would need is provided .The garden is fabulous and very dog friendly. The area has lots of great walks ,the nature reserves are wonderful. felt very safe and relaxed and cannot wait to return . Thank you so much Beryl ☺️
