Cabin vacation rentals in Windermere

I booked Ben and Jo’s Lodge for my wedding weekend as the pictures looked nice and it was in a beautiful location. From the start communication was great and super speedy, they asked us questions in advance to prepare for our stay. On the day of check-in they were fantastic letting us drop off cars a little bit early to help us out, the lodge was stunning and so clean. They left us some eggs, milk, homemade bread and strawberries and cream. The hot tub was amazing, there’s the cutest chickens in the garden, they kept in contact with us checking if everything was okay and if we needed anything to let them know. Our stay was absolutely perfect in every way, they went above and beyond what we expected and I can’t wait to come back again in the future. I would highly recommend-5 stars xx

Isabella lodge was amazing. My partner and I went for our 4 year anniversary and it was amazing. It was peaceful and absolutely beautiful. Barry and cath were amazing. They were friendly, helpful, kind and caring. It was evident that care and love was put into not only the place but also the guests. The hosts clearly love their jobs. They came each morning to clean out the hot tub. They also waved to us each time they saw us and gave us plenty of ways to contact them if and when needed. You will not be disappointed if you book this place. The place was quiet and it is a huge spot for animals. We saw cows, pigs, sheep, deer and even owls. It's easy to get around especially if you drive. There's plenty of sight seeing places and incredibly tasty food places near by. If you're not looking for going out and about there's plenty to do indoors too. We spent most of our days inside. There's everything you need from netflix to cooking essentials. An absolute 10/10 we will be back very soon ❤️

we stayed a night as a surprise for my friends birthday, lovely location and was so nice to see the cows. adam went above and beyond for us, let us know about a diversion we would have to take due to a road closure before hand, brought us extra bed linens as i had mistakenly put only 1 guest on the booking. always got back to us in no time with everything we needed. super accommodating host. super cozy stay. 100% recommend :)

Brilliant stay! Accommodation was perfect, pristine, had everything you need. The hot tub was amazing, lots of games and books available to use. The prosecco and chocolate provided on arrival was a nice touch :) Modern tech was great! Was able to login to our Netflix, prime etc. blue tooth speakers were fab too! Mark was very welcoming, informative and responsive! Leisure centre was good - kids loved the pool! Even had a dip in the lake and played in the sand. Pub food was excellent but doesn’t serve food everyday, so check and book! We would love to come again!!

Thank you for such a lovely stay. The whole family are so welcoming & made us feel at ease from the outset. Angela could not have provided more from the thoughtful welcome pack right through to dressing gowns & slippers. The hot tub was amazing & loved by my daughter, she also wanted me to say how much she loved the bed (very comfortable). The lodge & bedroom with bathroom were fully equipped & spotless. It was a pleasure to meet the whole family including the dogs who were so friendly with an added bonus for my daughter who got to play with Angela’s granddaughter. There was nothing more we could have wanted during our stay from the accommodation through to the surroundings. Thank you again we will be back x

lovely bank holiday stay the lodge was perfect, clean, tidy modern the outside seating area was great. The site is very peaceful and 2 great pubs in walking distance. Bowness about 10 min drive away

WOW! Loved it! Chas was amazing! such a lovely welcoming person! ... we can't wait to come back! It was perfect. Just sad we didn't stay longer

Lovely clean caravan In beautiful peaceful surroundings. The caravan park itself only had around 5 caravans so nice and quiet, the donkeys were a welcome sight too! First ever Airbnb for all of us which went very smoothly so big thank you to Rachel for her advice (and the park warden who found my wallet and arranged to post it out for me!) Stayed to walk scafell pike which went very well. Big things!

Had a lovely stay in Axholme Lodge. It was the perfect location to explore the Eastern/Far Eastern Fells from and such a peaceful place to return to in the evenings. Tim was super helpful and very responsive to any questions we had, and everything was as described on the listing. We all loved our stay and will definitely return!

We had a very enjoyable stay at Cherry Cragg retreat, made even better by the brilliant weather we had a how much sunshine you get at the lodge. It was very private and peaceful. There is plenty to do locally but you do need to be able to drive to visit multiple places as it was difficult to walk anywhere from the lodge, however we fully expected this so it did not hinder us, but good to know! Would 100% recommend to anyone who is looking for a peaceful getaway with beautiful surroundings.

It was a gorgeous cabin, very comfortable, clean and nicely finished. Lovely view of the mountain (weather permitting). Good location to walk into Keswick (20 mins?)on the old railway path (or go the other way towards Threkeld which was more into the countryside). Lower Briery Holiday village is in a bit of a valley with River Greta close by. There are only basic channels on the tv (which made a change from endless scrolling of channels!) but if you want to watch a bit more or to entertain kids I would bring your own laptop etc. The robins that kept coming to the balcony for a bit of bread were very tame and friendly. We had a lovely stay, the weather was not the best (Feb) but when we were hanging out round the cabin and chilling it was lovely.

Lovely chalet exactly as described . Very clean and beds nice and comfortable. Very peaceful and we had lovely relaxed stay. Short walk to lovely beach and lots to visit close by. Highly recommend to others

Absolutely loved our stay here. Pictures do not do this place justice, easily one of the nicest if not the nicest AirBnb I’ve ever stayed in. Great amenities for 4 adults and a big big hot tub! It was so peaceful being able to look out of the windows / decking and watch the wildlife too. Can’t wait to revisit, thankyou!

Lovely cosy well equipped lodge for family of 4 & cocker spaniel. Lodge was clean & had a comfortable stay. Great location on site & lucky to have nice weather to sit out on decking. Good facilities on site & heated pool was fab. Short walk to Brockhole & good location for drive to Ambleside & Grasmere Would recommend. Thankyou

The lodge was absolutely stunning and exactly what we wanted. Upon arrival all the essentials were provided like bread, milk and a delicious cake along. The lodge was very clean and all towels were provided, including the towels for the hot tub. The views from the lodge looking out from the bedrooms and hot tub were stunning and certainly helped us all to relax. The kitchen is extremely well equipped with everything you need - nothing was missing. It was a very relaxing and enjoyable week - I couldn’t recommend it enough if you want peace and quiet and stunning views.

Visited with young family, two under 1yr and a toddler, and the grandparents. Charlotte was very helpful in organising additional Baby Chairs and Travel Cots to save us space in the car which is a premium when travelling with kids. Lodge was very comfortable inside. Deck was well maintained and the retractible parasol over the outdoor table was great to keep the kids in the shade. We made full use of the BBQ, the venue provided food for feeding the swans/ducks and the views from the Jacuzzi during the sunset were great alongside the provided candles & evening fairy lights. In terms of the immediate local area we visited the wildlife park and also a local farm. The onsite restaurant meal we had on the Sunday evening was also pretty good but be mindful that it closes quite early for food. All in all a good 3 days with family and I’d definitely consider going back. Thanks Charlotte 👍

We had the most wonderful stay here during our holiday. Hands-down the best place we’ve been to so far. It’s simply beautiful and just the perfect spot to get away from it all. The bubble bath out in nature in the trees was one of the many cherries on top❤️ The host, Jan, is just delightful! So warm, welcoming and a treasure trove of information for local gems to explore. The sweet treats just elevated the whole stay. I cannot wait to be back! Thank you SO much Jan, you are awesome and please give Angus lots of scratches and cuddles from us 🐈‍⬛

We had a lovely time in this spacious Lodge, when we came to Gisburn for a family gathering at the Stirkhouse Hotel, Gisburn. The site was perfectly located for our needs and provided an ideal base before and after the celebration. The facilities in the Lodge are excellent and it is very well equipped. It is in a beautiful and quiet location and there are further facilities on site. Ray was a very helpful host and his communication was very prompt. We would certainly return and are happy to recommend it to anyone wishing to stay in this lovely part of the country

We had an amazing stay here over May Bank Holiday, such a safe space for our little ones to play. All staff super friendly and helpful. We will be back!
