If you’re looking for a quiet and welcoming place to stay, this is the perfect spot. The four of us really enjoyed our time here. Peter-Jan gave us a warm welcome upon arrival and shared some helpful tips. While the routes along the canals make the journeys a bit longer, the travel time to Utrecht or Amsterdam is absolutely reasonable. We’d be happy to come back!

We were 8 friends and spent 4 wonderful days in this place. Located in a very peaceful village surrounded by nature and animals, the house is charming and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. 🙂 Sigrid is very available when you ask her questions and the girl who takes care of the horses is super nice and kind. We absolutely loved everything here. The small covered garden furniture is great for spending nice evenings. The bedding is great. Everything is very well-equipped! Amsterdam is a 35-minute drive away. Everything was perfect!

First of all, the hostess Jan welcomed us warmly, he was friendly and personable. We would like to thank him for that. The apartment looked exactly as it appeared in the photos. It was designed and decorated with an aesthetic sense. The cleanliness was very good, especially in the bathroom, toilet and kitchen. The location was also great – we were able to reach the center of Amsterdam in just 30 minutes by car. It was a simple and stylish place to stay in the middle of nature. The only criticism would be the sound insulation. The kitchen is shared, and even the quietest noises from the kitchen can be heard directly in the room. Families with babies in particular should take this into account.

We had a short, very nice New Year's Eve stay with Gerard with great views of the fireworks over the water. The apartment is modern and beautifully decorated and has a large dining and living area. In particular, the kitchen is equipped with everything you need. Gerard responded quickly and helpfully to inquiries. Definitely recommended!

I needed a reasonably priced get away and a place outside the busy city to stay while I adventured around Amsterdam. A bus stop was right by the house that made transportation super easy. I felt at home every night I stayed during my two weeks in the Netherlands. The local area is beautiful and really gives you the full experience of day to day life. The restaurants near by were really delicious. I spent a lot of days just resting and relaxing in the home and it was far more spacious than I could have imagined. The location, the atmosphere, the space, and the town all made for the perfect first time experience in the Netherlands. I wish I could have stayed longer.

Fantastic apartment, we all enjoyed our stay here. The place feels luxurious, it's easy to get to and parking just next door. Perfect!

We had a comfy stay at Jelle's! No complaints or displeasures, everything was quite clean and accurate to the description in the listing. Instructions for check-in was clear. Maybe would be good to provide 2 sets of keys instead of just 1. Location is 2min walk from a bus stop, easy to take a 10-15min bus ride to Centraal. Living room area in particular was very pleasant! we were worried that privacy was going to be an issue, but Jelle had blinds and privacy filters on the windows, so we felt at ease. Washing machine and dryer are easy to use too. Thank you for the pleasant stay!

We have had the most fantastic stay with Joek . He is a super lovely guy and his accommodation was perfect for my husband and I and our teenage sons . Brilliant placed for local shops , eating etc and a short ride by train into the centre . We went to a concert at the Ziggo Dome which was a 10 minute walk . Joek is helpful , relaxed and accommodating . Would definitely go back, and totally recommend it . Thanks Joek !

Great location. We walked everywhere. Naarden-Bussum Train station is a 12 minute walk. 25 minutes to Amsterdam Centraal. Comfortable apartment. It had everything we needed, except for washer. You have to take your clothes to a wash and fold place (there is no self-serve laundromat in Bussum). It’s just around the corner and is about $15 for a big load. Main bedroom has sloped ceiling. Crouching required. Staircase a bit steep and tight, so good mobility is required. There is also a second bedroom. Bathroom is absolutely wonderful. Huge. Air conditioning works great. We were there for four weeks and really enjoyed our stay. Pim is very responsive. I would definitely come back here.

We are so thankful for our time at The Happiest Place, we wish we could give a 6 Star Review! The unit is spacious and cozy, immaculately clean, and has tons of natural light. The kitchen is well -appointed and the bed is perfectly medium-firm. The apartment is centrally located in Utrecht, on a quiet street. Easy walking distance from the train station, grocery stores, restaurants, laundromat, and tourist attractions. Rob is an amazing host, very friendly and gracious, with a deep wealth of local knowledge. We stayed for multiple weeks and ended up extending our stay because we enjoyed it so much. Rob replaced the sheets and towels multiple times and did such a fantastic job making us feel at-home in the apartment. I can say without a doubt, there is nowhere better to stay in Utrecht.

We booked Jan's apartment for a few weeks in Utrecht and it was great! The apartment is cozy and has a nice little garden. It's an independent apartment which has everything you need, including amenities such as a dishwasher. It does not have a laundry machine, but a self-service laundromat is only a 10 minute walk away. Jan lives upstairs with his family. He has a young daughter who likes to run around and play, you can hear the footsteps through the ceiling, but they go to bed early and we were not bothered by it. Jan and his wife are friendly and helpful, they gave us lots of tips for Utrecht. The neighborhood is great if you're looking for something peaceful but vibrant and off the beaten track. Countless delicatessen shops, no-frills eateries and cafes are within walking distance, and it's only a 20 minute walk to the Utrecht Central train station. We would like to stay again!

Helpful and friendly!

This stay was the friendliest and the most charming Airbnb experience we have had! The building is an incredible experience of history, built in the 1580s and renovated by Joost and his father 16 years ago. Great detailing, furnishing, and design reflecting Utrecht in every way. And Joost was incredibly friendly, always responsive, and respectful of our privacy. The location is great! Right in the heart of Utrecht, where everyone was so friendly to us throughout. The beds where comfortable, and the back bedrooms quiet. Our tweens loved the attic space for sleeping, with a window view over the square. There was noise from people in the square in the evenings but it did not bother us as all as it was not unlike the sounds in our urban neighborhood. Joost's attention to detail and design was evident throughout! When in Utrecht again, I will definitely stay here! And it super easy by train for the day to Amsterdam, Rotterdam, or the Hague. Lastly, great daylight in the living room area!

Riwfkas place is wonderful . Cozy, clean and equipped with all you need for your holiday. Utrecht is a pleasant city with a friendly atmosphere. The check in was easy and Riwfka was welcoming and provided us with all the informations we needed.

Lovely lication with excellent train connections! This place is wonderfully situated near train station, making it super easy to catch direct trains to Amsterdam and Utrecht. The accommodation itself was cozy and well-equipped, and the host was very welcoming. Ideal for travelers who want the best of both worlds-peaceful stay with quick access to major cities!

We had a great experience. Myself and my partner were moving to Amsterdam from Ireland and used Richard’s accommodation as a base. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed. Walking distance to the metro, amenities nearby, and a spotless apartment. We had great hosts as Richard and Esmee were very quick to respond. I’d highly recommend this place.

We had a very nice stay in Utrecht. The apartment is nice and very well located! You are right in the city center. There are many restaurants in the area and by bike you can quickly get to the countryside.

My friends and I really enjoyed our stay at Harm's place. He was so helpful and responded to me right away when I had questions. The flat is light and bright and has fun, eclectic furnishings. The balcony was nice, sunny, and sheltered and felt lovely to sit on during the afternoon. The flat is super close to the train station and is one stop away from the old town of Utrecht. I recommend staying here!

We had a truly wonderful stay on Laura’s boat. It was perfect for two people - quiet and private, yet close to all of the excitement of Amsterdam. It was so fun to live like a local on a boat house for a few days! It is a boat, so spaces are small, and if that bothers you, you need to choose somewhere else. But if you want the experience of living on a boat for a few days, you will love this place. Definitely rent the bicycles from Laura! If you haven’t seen Holland by bike, you haven’t seen Holland. We loved this place. I really hope we have the chance to go back someday.
