This was a magical stay for me and my son. During school holidays. The location is a slice of paradise, peaceful and completely private. 10/10 for the hosts who are the best I’ve ever come across on Airbnb. On arrival, I got stuck on the gravel road (due to a much heavier than usual packed car going uphill ) and they called a lovely neighbour who sorted my car out within minutes. They were super responsive through out the stay and checked into make sure we had everything we needed and we felt really well taken care of and wanted for nothing during our stay. The introduction into the house with a lovely written note made us feel super welcome and the beautiful surrounding put us right at our ease and we throughly enjoyed our first off-grid experience. We would be back in a heartbeat! Peaceful and beautiful experience that helped us cut off from the hustle and bustle and connect with nature to have a few days of simple living in a place surrounded by natural beauty.

We had an absolutely brilliant time! From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcomed by Glenys and Paul, who were such thoughtful and attentive hosts. The property is stunning, with beautiful gardens that make it feel like a little oasis, complete with the soothing sounds of nature and birds. We especially loved the hot tub and firepit, perfect for relaxing in the evenings. Glenys and Paul truly thought of everything to make our stay comfortable, and the homemade cookies were a delightful touch—we’d love to get the recipe! All amenities were provided, and we appreciated the attention to detail throughout. We couldn’t have asked for a more peaceful and relaxing escape, and we’ll definitely be back! Thank you.

Absolutely amazing stay with Daniel, we were able to check in early which saved us a lot of time! The place was soo clean and had everything we needed. We had such a good time just sitting and cooking by the fire with a drink. We also made use of the bio free pool during our stay as well as the bike. Great friendly hosts! Thanks so much

I had not stayed in a tiny home before, but I was eagerly anticipating the experience. Hayley and Mats' tiny home exceeded all of my expectations. It was sublime, classy, comfortable, and welcoming. They had thought of everything that one could possibly need or want. It was truly par excellence.

This is such a beautiful piece of paradise. It was perfect for a surprise getaway for my husband’s 30th. I would recommend this house to any couple or small family wanting to get away from all the hustle and bustle. The bath is a highlight. Rooms are nice and warm. The kitchen is perfect. Outdoor seating with hammock and fire pizza oven is cool too. Next time we will stay longer and use the camp fire 😊

Such a lovely place for a staycation! The views were stunning, the bed was so comfy (It was hard to pull ourselves out of it!), loved how well stocked the pantry was (We loved trying out the whole range of teas and hot chocolate) and watching the stars from the hot tub in the evening was absolutely unforgettable.

We couldn't have picked a cosier place to rest up for a couple of days in rainy weather. Paula's little farm bach was lovely, equipped with everything we needed and with glorious views across farmland and hills to the sea. We were warm and extremely comfortable, the bed ensured some great nights' sleep (and an afternoon nap or two), and the interesting selection of books kept us happily occupied when it bucketed down outside. Paula was so generous and communicative, and we also had an enthusiastic welcome from the two pet cats! We'd love to come back in sunnier weather to explore the surroundings more, walk down to the beach through the farm and generally relax in the garden and enjoy the sea air. A really nice place to stay, in a beautiful part of New Zealand.

We fell in love with the cottage as soon as we saw it. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful, and serene. Ralph & Violet were very welcoming and provided a delicious breakfast spread for us to enjoy. The farm animals wandering the property gave it a homestead feel. Overall it’s like staying in a little slice of heaven on earth. Our only regret was that we couldn’t stay longer.

So lovely, So peaceful! A well set up and roomy super comfortable and clean place to stay. Situated on a real working farm, you’ll sit on your own deck and enjoy the sunset with open green views. Lin is just amazing and is responsive and very helpful. Thank you so much. Will be back to relax again.

What a gorgeous waterfront spot, an ideal spot to relax and get away. The property was immaculate, and Rog was such a lovely host. The location is excellent with a short walk to the village for a coffee or glass of wine. If walking is your thing there is a track along the estuary right in front of the property. It is also close to the beautiful surf beach at the heads. Fabulous spot you will not be disappointed.

Wow, what an incredible stay! Tania's property exceeded our expectations in every way. The view was simply AMAZING - we couldn't get enough of it! The place was sparkling clean and had everything we needed for a perfect staycation. The amenities were top-notch and the location was ideal. We felt right at home and didn't want to leave! The Hayloft, coastal farm stay

What a perfect city escape to celebrate our 29th anniversary. The Hayloft is a unique coastal retreat with stylish amenities. The bathroom is quite interesting but we get used to it after the first day. We enjoyed the outdoor bath at night time with the dark surroundings with only the twinkling stars and the moon as your light. The king size bed at the loft is very comfortable though it was hard for my husband with arthritis to go up and down and the access to the toilet at night was a bit tricky too. Our dog Yumi had a blast! She had a lot of zommies around the property. It is nearby lots of attractions though we were not able to go since we have a dog but Port Albert and Welsford are enough for us to enjoy the area plus the Birds beach. We highly recommend this place and we will definely come back.
