Vacation rentals with lake access in Wexford County

The boats were warm welcoming. Their place was a lively spot just made for a vacation setting. It was clean and comfortable and she provided an amazing list of things to do, visit and amenities in the home.

Hank and Heather are wonderful hosts! We are local to the area, but their guide reminded us of some spots in town that we’d forgotten about. Their cozy cottage is perfect for groups of up to 6. Comfy beds and fluffy pillows made for a relaxing sleep. Be sure to check out the cool ski fence Hank built on the front patio! We really enjoyed this place. Albertena was proactive in communicating. It was close to many places and very clean. We will stay here again if ever in the area again. Beautiful and spacious place.

Exactly as advertised. Lots to do within an hour- Crystal Mtn,Sleeping Bear Dunes, and Leland fishing village were all cool side trips. A really cool pin and yarn map in living room with tons of other things to do. The beach area was large and nice, but heavy on shade so you had to get to on a floaty or to the platform for some good sun. Nice enough to fill the floaters we brought so we didn’t have to bring an air compressor.

Shawn's home is exactly as described. The layout, design, and lake view are very comfortable and inviting to enjoy a peaceful stay. The house is well maintained including prompt snow removal. This, along with the cleanliness and Shawn's immediate response, provides a home I recommend and will look forward to staying again any time of the year. Thank you Shawn!

Shelly went above and beyond to accommodate our family! Her thoughtfulness and personalized welcome made our stay feel cozy and comfortable. The house is in a quaint little town with an amazing view of the lake across. The lake house has so much room and there were so many activities for people of all ages. Such a wonderful stay, we'd definitely go back again!

The home was warm and inviting. I enjoyed all the amenities and all the area had to offer. This home was definitely someplace. I would want to come again and look forward to coming back in the near future.

We very much enjoyed our getaway on Stevens Lake. The setting of this house is peaceful, quiet, and perfect for unwinding. We loved listening to the loon on the lake and our son had a great time down by the lake. The house itself was clean and comfortable and more than adequate for our needs. We arrived late at night on a foggy night, but Jane's directions were perfectly clear so we had no trouble locating this out of the way spot. Would highly recommend.

Folks, this place is *everything*! Cool architecture and gorgeous interior design. Super clean, light, and airy! Parking is super close and then you can park your car and leave it! Walking distance to downtown (like, less than a minute to get to great shops and restaurants). Perfect location! Highly recommend!!!

I stayed at the Flip Flop Inn in October 2024 with my husband and 2 year old son. The Flip Flop Inn was exactly as described and a great place for a family to stay. Stacey even had a baby gate and child lock on the cabinets. The tub worked well for bathing a toddler and for adult shower. The space was very clean, warm on cold nights, and was a nice private space. Not sharing a wall with anyone else meant we did not have to worry about toddler noise waking others. The area was very quiet and we slept well. The host was very responsive when we had questions. The Airbnb is about a 10-15 minute walk or short drive to Beulah restaurants and the town public beach. US 31 is very close and it's within 45 minutes of Traverse City and Sleeping Bear Dunes, 10 minutes from Frankfort and Lake Michigan, and 10 miles from Crystal Mountain. Accessibility note: the Airbnb is located up one flight of stairs and the 6 foot long path from parking to the door is slightly uneven.

Overall, our stay was fantastic! Abby's place was wonderful! it was tucked away in the woods/forest with the most beautiful landscape view! We thought our little place was a perfect home away from home. It was tucked away in the forest, but Abby's instructions made it easy to find! Also, an extra star for the high end bidet. 🙃

We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Fireplace 1 and loved our stay! It is absolutely beautiful in the winter, though we experienced quite a bit of snow during our stay. Jeffrey was very responsive when we needed assistance with a snow and TV issue. We had no trouble during our stay. The furnishing in the space show that a lot of care was taken in creating the space. The bed in the bedroom was divine but the heating was a little wonky. That room is much warmer at night than the rest of the space, but the thermostat was easy to adjust so it wasn’t a big issue. The location is phenomenal and very walkable. Parking was really no issue at all, though there was a bit of ice and snow that we had to watch out for. There is a lot to do in the surrounding area, but visitors should note that several restaurants nearby are closed Sundays and Mondays. Overall, we highly recommend the space and we will be back!

Such a beautiful, quiet place to stay. I love that the cottage is right on a lake. It would've been so fun to visit in the summer time vs in the cold weather, but still enjoyable.

Blaine's cottage was a perfect location for a weekend at Crystal Mountain. The view of the lake is beautiful and we loved all the modern and up to date style of the house! It was so close to a handful of restaurants, brewery, and breakfast spot!

Our stay at this cottage was perfect! From the moment we walked in, we felt instantly at home in the cozy, beautifully appointed space. The cottage was thoughtfully stocked with everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing stay, including a lovely bottle of wine from a local vineyard, which was such a special and welcoming touch. Our boys had an absolute blast! They spent their days swimming in the lake, building sandcastles, and trying out water sports. In the evenings, we enjoyed gathering around the fire—both outside under the stars and inside in the warmth of the cottage. The peaceful surroundings made this the ideal retreat for our family. The kitchen was exceptionally well-equipped, and the entire home was both beautiful and stocked with everything we could possibly need. Our host Cassie was fantastic—friendly, responsive, and incredibly helpful throughout our stay. We truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience and can’t wait to return. This cottage is a true gem!

I really enjoyed my time at the cabin. We especially enjoyed the bottle of wine and the hot tub. Beautiful surroundings near the water was a real treat! Michelle was a gracious host and was informative. I will definitely stay again!

We really enjoyed our stay. I visited in the winter with my mom and 2 young kids. We had plenty of room. The house was clean and comfortable, the driveway had been plowed and the location was great. We would definitely stay again!
