Great AirBnB near to the ferry terminal in Mkoani. Beautiful space, well taken care of, with local contacts to help with everything from groceries and cooking to managing electricity purchases and transportation. Would highly recommend staying with Mohammed and his brothers.
A natural pathway leads through lush greenery to a rustic lodge with a thatched roof. Surrounding trees and plants provide a tranquil setting, while the inviting entrance hints at a cozy interior. The landscape reflects a harmonious blend of nature and architecture.

Already Planning My Next Visit! From the moment I arrived I knew I wanted to stay even longer. It is truly a Nature Lodge in every sense of the word and exactly what had been missing from my trip thus far. Being a non diver I was worried there wouldn't be enough for me to do but it was quite the contrary. I went kayaking in the mangroves ( saw jellyfish, monkeys, and schools of fish), rented a bike and rode to the lighthouse one day and the Ngezi forest the next lounged by the pool, and swam in the ocean. The one thing I wanted to do on Pemba was see the coconut crabs and the staff made such a huge effort to allow that to happen. Everyone mentions the food in their reviews here and they truly do have such a wonderful selection you could never get bored or the same thing twice. And wine! So hard to find a place with wine on Pemba. It made me quite happy. Mike, the owner is the ultimate host and truly ensures that your stay there is unique and enjoyable until the very end. I very much can't wait to return.
The image depicts a vibrant street scene featuring lush green trees and blooming orange flowers. A view of local houses is visible in the background, with a quiet road leading through the area. The greenery contributes to a calming atmosphere.

Sharook Riviera Grand Lodge (4/8)Queen_Bed

The room looks the same as in the pictures, especially the AC that works very well. The receptionist Khamis is very responsive and kind. You can have breakfast and see flying foxes (actually bats) after sunset on the rooftop. The house locates near the ferry, and 15 minutes walking distance to town. People in Pemba are super nice, jackfruits are very cheap (1 dollar for one!!!). I started missing it right after I left.
A spacious rooftop terrace features patterned ceramic tiles in warm tones. Potted plants and decorative vases are arranged throughout the space, adding natural elements. A shaded wooden structure provides seating and overlooks a view of surrounding greenery, creating a serene environment.

Sharook Riviera Grand Lodge (2/8)_Double Bedroom

Seeing thousands of flying fox flying over the roof terrace in the evening is a fantastic experience, and this alone is reason enough to choose to stay at Sharook. Also you can be sure that Ismael and his team will go the extra mile for you. For me they arranged a great (and cheap) snorkel trip to Kokota Island with a very short notice. This was a very beautiful reef (matching e.g. Mnemba trips on Zanzibar) and there were no other tourists. They also arranged for me to book a motor cycle so I could explore Ngezi forrest and the northern tip of the island. Both trips custom made custom as per my request. Breakfast with lots of local fresh mango, served on the terrace with the view, also is a treat and something I will remember.
A red fire extinguisher is securely mounted on a light-colored wall, displaying safety information on its label. The surrounding area features a glimpse of a covered walkway, with a hard floor visible in the background.

Tahfif Apartment 2

Clean and cozy, hot shower and good AC. Good wifi accept one night it didn't work. Good price for the room. We really enjoyed Pemba. The breakfast was good. We left for an early flight the last day and arranged for an early breakfast but it was never delivered. They were kind enough to make us lunch one day although it was a little but above average rate compared to other places we ate in Pemba. still appreciate them cooking. 5 min walk to the main road where you can get snacks and water. The house attendant was very kind.
