Family-friendly vacation rentals in Walton-on-Thames

We really enjoyed our time in London. The airbnb is located in a fine area, walkable and close to bus and tube stops. Any store or restaurant you may need is close by. The unit has 2 bedrooms and the bathroom is roomy and good. The kitchen allows you to prepare meals. There was a party next door and the neighbors were loud and obnoxious. But that's the nature of living close to each other. Thanks Reggie, your place worked out well for us.

We had a wonderful Christmas week at Flagpole Cottage. The hosts' home was clean, welcoming and extremely well-equipped. We had everything necessary for preparing family feasts, having a wood fire, plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. Robin and Francine even left a beautifully decorated real Christmas tree for us the enjoy (and put our presents under), a very thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and trampoline (we were lucky with the weather, cold but not rainy) as well as the local walks to pubs. We bought our Christmas turkey (ordered in advance) at the fabulous Flower Farm shop, which is nearby and is a great source for all things edible. Robin and Francine's guide to local amenities and activities is thorough and quite useful. Robin was very attentive and open to queries but everything was so clearly laid out we didn't really have any questions. One last thing - the gardens are exceptional - even in December! I was in awe - especially the topiary. The old yew trees! xx

We had an absolutely fantastic stay inside Betty. It was extremely accurately described. We felt at home straight away by the facilities onboard. The view in the morning was fantastic, being woken up by cockerel was a lovely reminder of being in the countryside. The perfect break to wind down and relax. We were lucky with the weather mostly which made it even more magical. The lights around the outside at night was a lovely touch. The bathroom was delightful, with the underfloor heating working at all times. I’m sure we will back to see Betty. Would recommend to everyone.

Carol Anne and Kelly were great hosts, kind and helpful. The apartment was very nice, equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable. The location is excellent, very close to the subway and buses, the neighborhood is great. We had a great time, thaks a lot.

We really enjoyed our stay in Debbie's flat. It was spacious even for 6 people, with a lot of commodities around. Debbie was reactive and gave us a lot of recommandations. The borough was quiet, with some supermarkets nearby, some pubs and restaurants. It's a 25 minutes walk to Camden Town and same to the British Museum. From King's Cross there are a few subway lines that can get you anywhere. A very good stay!

Absolute lovely place in a quiet area of London. The flat is exactly as described and it has everything you need for a short or long stay. Totally recommended, would love to come back!

We had a fantastic stay! The apartment was clean, cosy and exactly as described. The location was perfect – quiet, yet close to everything we needed. Janet was a wonderful host: friendly, helpful and easy to reach. The bedrooms were comfortable, and we really enjoyed relaxing in the whirlpool after long days out. We had a lovely weekend stay at Elizabeth’s place while attending a wedding down the road. The annexe is very comfortable and tastefully appointed with everything needed for a short break, and at an excellent price. I don’t usually sleep well away from home but got two good nights’ sleep! Will definitely look to come back to enjoy some walking/local pubs. Elizabeth is very friendly and made us feel very welcome.

The bungalow was a lovely place to stay. We were staying in Watford as we were going to the Harry Potter experience. It was close by. One day it was raining we weren’t sure what to do with the kids we ended up going to climb up in a shopping mall near by. It’s also local to supermarkets. The place was spotless clean bedding and towels etc. pull out bed for the children. We were going to take our dog and then didn’t because of the long drive but I wish we had. Jan looks after dogs like a doggy day care. Our little dog would have loved it.

Benny was really great with communication as I booked very last minute! She also kindly let me check in much earlier and I also checked out a little later due to my own fault of not realising checkout was at 10am! The place is spotless and is well equipped, there were breakfast items left which was thoughtful and generous of Benny. The location is beautiful and peaceful - lots of cute lambs and ponies and even deer! A short drive takes you into forest row where you have a good selection of shops

'Exactly what it says on the tin'. When my family of 3 generations (aged 5 - 95) 6 adults, 2 children arrived we felt that we already knew the property, so accurate were the descriptions and the photographs that Jubed has supplied. Communication since booking (a year in advance) has been excellent, friendly courteous and comprehensive. A wonderful 3 night stay. I would highly recommend this property. Quiet neighbourhood and yet easily accessible to Central London.

We had a lovely stay at the farmhouse. Old Tudor, packed with character and the surrounding area is stunning. Local pubs in close proximity which serve lovely food. All in all a fantastic stay

Kaz is an extremely friendly and responsive host . The house is lovely and spacious with a lovely outdoor area . Everything you could possibly need is provided and the house was fresh clean and comfortable . The area is quiet . We were attending my son’s wedding and were a family group . The house was perfect for our needs and so nice to be all together . Nothing we didn’t like . Many thanks

Julie,s place is great for a short break. It does have a lot of personal items in, which wasn’t an issue for us. A couple of the beds were doubles but not really suitable if you are a larger size person. Check in and out was easy. Overall would recommend

A little gem of a place! Don't let the exterior fool you! It's homely, peaceful and just a home from home once you are through the door with a cuppa in hand and slumped on the sofa! I could of hapilt stayed for weeks! The flat is within walking distance to Battersea Park (5 minute walk) and Chelsea (15-20 minute walk) which was perfect for my solo trip to see Chelsea in bloom. There are some great free parking spots local to the flat which is great if you plan on coming by car! The area felt safe and welcoming and I had no issues walking to and from the flat even quite late at night. The bus stop is round the corner and takes you to all the great spots in central London! The highlights from my stay were being welcomed by a beautiful bottle of red wine, the amazing shower that I struggled to get out of as it was just so relaxing and the ambience of busy London in the background whilst I read my book next to the fire wrapped in a blanket! I will definitely be back!

I cannot speak more highly about the Gardener’s Cottage. It is a magical retreat that relaxes you instantly. Karen and Phil are amazing hosts and always make us feel really welcome. This is our second stay and we will be back. Do yourselves a favor and book this if you want to enjoy the English countryside amidst amazing walks, lovely pubs, and beautiful historic villages.

The barn is beautiful and very well fitted out. Fabulous setting, absolutely stunning and super peaceful and quiet. The one bathroom was challenging at times with a party of adults but the rest of the barn is faultless and such a joy to stay in. The tennis court and other amenities were fabulous.

Emma was very welcoming as we arrived. She showed us around and gave us perfect advice on how to get into town. The cabin was perfect for a weekend away. We found a swing attached to the trees and had great fun. The bed was like a cloud and the kitchen had everything you need. Would recommend to family and would stay again.

We had a lovely stay, the little house was clean, cosy and warm, everything you need, we explored the area for walks. We walked to the local pub , The Fox Inn they where very friendly the food was nice. We went to the Parrot at Forest Green for a Sunday Roast which was great. Horsham is near if you fancy a potter around the shops and pick up some bits. Guildford was 30 minutes away also another lovely day there too. Thank you we enjoyed our visit.

We had a fabulous long stay in Susan’s house. The house was perfect, spacious and homely and in a great location near Clapham high st and Clapham common with lots of nice shops, parks and close to lots of public transport. Susan was very welcoming and responsive and went above and beyond to make us comfortable and help us during our stay.

Another lovely weekend break at The Barn. It's a perfect space for our group of friends to catch up and chill out. Always spotless and clean. We lucked out with the weather and the pool and tennis court got some good use. We had a lovely 6 mile walk around the Surrey Hills with the beautiful Abinger Hatch pub a half way point. Daniel was very welcoming and friendly and accessible to answer our queries. Kitchen is well stocked with utensils and crockery but we forgot cling film and foil, so bring some if you think you will be using it. There is a lovely outdoor seating area and dining table which was a lovely afternoon sun trap. All in all a perfect stay and we will be coming again next year!
