Vacation rentals with a kayak in Wake County

As you can see from my many reviews, my wife and I stay at Kate's place every time we are in North Carolina visiting family - which is often. Both of her units are impeccably clean and supplied with everything you could possibly need for any length of stay. Kate's super power is that she focuses on every detail - beautiful and comfortable furnishings, well stocked bathroom and kitchen, a generous supply of linens and towels, and dedicated work spaces, complete with printers and support for all of your devices. My allergies were acting up during this visit, and of course, Kate had all manner of cold and allergy medicines on hand in the apartment. We had a larger crew this time - three adult kids and us, so we booked her larger apartment. It was more than sufficient and comfortable for the five of us. 10 stars! Thanks again, Kate! We look forward to seeing you again soon.

A Perfect Christmas! Wife, Daughter, 2 sons (our two dogs) & Mother in law. This place met every expectation we could possibly have for a Christmas vacation! The entire house was exceptionally clean! Hosts are proactive, professional and quickly responsive. We had all the utensils and items needed in the kitchen to prepare a perfect Christmas dinner. An exquisite view in the back as we spent time together. There is a great fireplace for our Family nights together in the living room. This house is in an excellent location close to everything and in a peaceful neighborhood. We picked this place in particular because we felt a huge welcome for our dogs. This house welcomes dogs with open arms and we felt so comfortable with them in and out of the house. My Daughter wanted to make sure to point out the crushed ice from the refrigerator was a huge plus.... and the dogs loved the back yard!

Awesome stay. Great communication and very accommodating. We had a two month stay due to renovations at home. We were very comfortable. Thank you for being great hosts.

We LOVED the eclectic decor and boho theme throughout the home! It was also super clean and beds were comfy, plus our pup enjoyed the huge backyard!!

The home was beautiful and as pictured, very clean, with an open layout but small enough to be intimate. The bathroom was a little small but I loved that it was attached to the main bedroom. The water for showering was very hot and inviting, the tub has jets. We didn't use them but it was a nice option to have. The only thing I had a little bit of trouble with is the driveway is on a steep incline and you have to park at the bottom. So if you are traveling solo and have mobility issues it may be a little challenging. Also the driveway opens out to a very busy street so backing out is kind of difficult. You can back down the driveway but I think it's the owners vehicles are there as well so you don't want to hit them. I think they live in the bottom of the house so I'm sure if it was a real issue he would accommodate. Israel messaged a little after we got in to make sure we were ok and to let us know he can be reached if needed. That was nice. This is a great place to stay.

Such a beautiful place to spend time with my friends and family for the weekend. The back yard is especially unique with the pool, pond, and river beyond. I love that they have outdoor activities for use (archery, axe throwing, kayaking and paddle boarding). We stayed in a colder month for the triangle, but still had such a great time. Would love to book again in the warmer months!

Came to town for a show at Coastal, which was about a mile walk, but cut down on parking cost and hassle! The property was clean and very fun. The beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were stocked with toiletries. We appreciated Jon’s prompt response when we ran into issues with the AC!

Our stay with Amy was wonderful! The house is a 20 min walk from campus and just a few minutes to a shopping area and restaurants. The neighborhood was very safe with many families walking their dogs and very friendly. Amy was extremely responsive and so helpful. We would definitely stay here again

Our group of adult friends had a great stay at Shannon's. The house had plenty of space for all of us to spend time together or spread out as needed. Towels and other supplies were well stocked. We loved the hot tub! The house rules and cleanup routine were very reasonable and Shannon gave clear instructions and answered promptly when I had questions. The area around the house is beautiful, and I loved the stream - if we'd visited in a warmer season I probably would have been down looking for fish. This was one of the least expensive rentals we looked at and we all felt like it was a great deal, especially split among a group. It was well located for our purposes because we were mostly there to see each other and friends who live in Wake Forest. We had no trouble finding groceries nearby. If I were planning to spend a lot of time in downtown Raleigh I'd have preferred somewhere in town and walkable, but it wasn't a bad drive the couple times we did it.
