Perfect stay! Couldn’t recommend more if you are planning to do the bamboo trek. The villiage is lovely and the view from the veranda is breath taking. Lovely fresh sheets and a hot shower was a treat! Very good communication throughout and outstanding breakfast, lunch and dinner cooked from the restaurant opposite - Prunsan khunsni dukan.

The property is located in the prime neighborhood of Laitumkhrah and can be easily found on the main road. The rooms were clean and looked better than they did in the photos. All listed amenities were available. The kitchen was stocked with essential items. There are numerous restaurant and café options within a 5-minute walk. The markets are 5-10 minutes' walk away. A taxi stand is nearby, offering both shared and reserved ride options. We will definitely consider this listing for our next visit.

Good place for a short stay. Everything looks like the pics, it was spick and span, heater and geyser are available, there is a restaurant opposite. The kitchen is well appointed. Only drawback for me was the height of the bedroom ceiling upstairs. The low ceiling made sitting up in bed impossible,also had to bend down just to get onto the upper level. Batista is very helpful and recommended a great driver as well.He was also helpful in making guide arrangements for Mawphlang sacred grove and the David Scott trail. Be aware that Mawphlang in general seems very cold compared to the rest of Meghalaya, in my experience, as we visited Shillong,Sohra,Shnongpdeng etc all of which were much warmer. It was 7 degrees at night in Mawphlang and we visited in March,which I think is summer for Meghalaya.We struggled with the cold and were thankful we were there only for a night.

Mamla's place had indeed been a great find. Situated away from city towards the east near hilltop, it provides a good view of Shillong. Internet was great, we could work remotely without disruption for a week. Throughout our stay, Mamla had stayed in touch for any help that we could need.
