Cabin like home, near a city, near a lake, simple amenities, all for a great price. Great place to start if you are bound for the Sequoia National Park or the Sierras. In the country, no stress, no pizza or traffic! Khoua and Mark Welcome you!
“Expect the host to be a superhost because Mark truly was. He was accommodating from the minute I booked with him. We only stayed at his lovely home for one night but it was well worth it. It was very rustic and I bet this home is even lovelier during the winter. We went during the summertime and it was very hot. But Mark turned on the AC prior to our arrival so the house will be cool. Upon our arrival, we were amazed as soon as we walked in. His home was full of amazing decorations from antiques to farmhouse. He had snacks for us to munch on. The house was super clean and tidy. It’s also not that far from Sequioa National Pak. Again, we’re very thank for the hospitality and we would definitely come back again.”
One bedroom with queen size bed has access to an adjacent sitting room with flat screen tv, minifridge, and expresso machine. Private bathroom. These rooms are on a separate hallway for privacy. The front patio with fountain is enclosed and great for sitting or eating.
“Planned an impromptu trip to the Sequoia and Kings Canyon natural parks. Rudy’s and Rosie’s house was only a short and beautiful drive from there. Their place was immaculate and you had everything you needed at hand for a very pleasant stay. Provided local tips, overall - very friendly hosts. Gracias !!”
Welcome to Exeter, CA - the gateway to the Sierras! Exeter is 28 miles from the entrance to Sequoia National Park - home of the GIANT Redwoods. Centrally located, our home is within walking distance to downtown Exeter, known for its beautiful murals, antique shops, boutiques, and eateries. Your guest suite space consists of the whole front portion of the house - 1000 sq ft of living that includes a game/living room, dining area, bathroom, and bedroom.
“Jon and Heidi’s place was very cute and very cozy. My husband and I enjoyed our stay and were pleasantly surprised by the little extras that made the unit (and our stay) feel so much nicer; things like chocolate chip cookies and a mini fridge stocked with a few of drinks, for example. It reminded us of the early days of Airbnb, when hosts really cared about making their homes feel inviting and special! About the details: Overall the space itself is very comfortable for two people, well-stocked, nicely decorated, and super convenient if you’re visiting the national parks close by. Also, there’s a gas station around the corner, and you can park in front of the house on the street. Dining out can be tough since Exeter is tiny and restaurants close at odd hours, but there are grocery stores nearby. The only downside of our entire stay was not being able to directly control the AC, so I would feel very warm at night (we stayed in late August, I’m pregnant, and used to sleeping at a cool 68 degrees F). Even with that, we still happily recommend Jon and Heidi’s and feel it fully deserves a 5-star review. :)”
