Unique roomy apartment with private yard, well equipped kitchen, extremely quiet and dark for sleeping. The lower level was more comfortable after running the dehumidifier because of the large stone wall foundations. This gives it character and coolness. We even played one of the games provided. Very thoughtful hosts.

Ana is an excellent host, she attended to us promptly, was very careful and attentive. The house is exactly as shown in the photos, very cozy and spacious. We felt at home. I recommend it.

Ana's house in Vila Nova de Gaia was ideal for me. It is in a very peaceful location, but close to public transport and a very short walk to the river. It was recently refurbished and it shows. The kitchen has everything you need, fast internet in case you have to work from here, and plenty of sunshine in the outside space, as well as a stunning view of the Mosteiro da Serra do Pilar on the "first floor" balcony. Ana was responsive and always helped when needed. I highly recommend this house if you are looking to visit Porto for a short or long period, however you want to stay somewhere peaceful away from the hustle and bustle of Porto.

Great place to stay in Porto. Five stops on the D line from the studio apartment's peaceful, quiet neighborhood to the historic center (no changing trains) and plenty of bus connections to other parts of town. The studio is part of an art deco duplex building and includes access to a lovely garden. The furnishings are rather basic but entirely fine. The host — Christina — is very friendly and responsive. Highly recommended.

The house is equipped with everything as shown in the pictures and nothing was missing. The house is a bit older, but we knew that. For allergy sufferers, I would recommend removing or cleaning the carpets. The location is fantastic - right on the beach and within walking distance of a great bakery, cafes and restaurants. Seeing the sunset from the bed is really great. On the beach you can walk for a long time, both in the sand and on the expanded jetty. Beautiful! Of course the weather has to play along, unfortunately it is often very windy. But no problem on the balconies.

Felt at home since the first minute. Typical Portuguese hospitality. Everything clean, not a lint was found. Bed linen and towels everything perfect. Atmosphere of the rooms, coziness and love in detail. We stayed there for a week and were happy without a wish. The host warned us about the noise of the planes.. but you have to be really fussy to be bothered by it. If someone is looking for a quiet place, they are in the right place at the Rural House. For us in the future always first choice if possible in Porto. & Carla always has great tips in stock, whether eating or sightseeing. Thank you and glad you are there !

Fabulous accommodation in a great location, it was very easy to find and within walking distance of all the main sites. The house has 3 floors and had plenty of space for the six of us. The kitchen was well equipped with crockery/cookware and we self catered a few evenings as there are supermarkets nearby and some basic ingredients were provided. Bed linen & towels were great quality and there is also a washing machine. We were very happy with everything - it’s one of the best Airbnb’s we’ve been to & would definitely recommend!

Irene's place was a €4 taxi ride from the airport, accessed remotely on arrival by Irene. Beautiful apartment, clean and nicely decorated. Easily extended our stay, due to weather and Irene took care of our bags, after checkout, for the day. Great communication throughout our stay, very responsive, which was good during the national powercut. The apartment is a 20-30 minute walk down to the Douro River which allows for great exploration of this wonderful city. There are numerous markets en route with countless bars, shops and restaurants to choose from. There is also some fascinating architecture to enjoy, not to mention the street performers. The river is an area where many people congregate to enjoy the local vibe, and across it is a whole other area to wander around, including the Port distillerys. Based on my experience of Irene, and her apartment, I cannot recommend it highly enough. My family had a wonderful experience here due to Irene, the apartment, the city and the weather

The view of the accommodation on the sea is incredible 😻 we could enjoy the sunset every night. Listing matches description and photos perfectly! Communication is easy and responses are very quick.

A very charming little space, nicely decorated and clean. In an interesting, not touristy neighborhood, but still easily accessible on foot or by bus or metro. We really enjoyed it!

Everything was perfect, neighbours very talkative but I liked it, they were very friendly and cared us much.

We as a group of ten friends really enjoyed our stay here. The apartment is greatly located, and especially the rooms facing the inner yard benefit from the calmness around. Dário always showed very responsive behavior. Only some items very missing and as such we wouldn't call the kitchen fully equipped as we didn't have towels or sponges to clean or bags to through the trash. We requested this and some other things and received it fast, but I'd prefer to have everything set up. Btw. it's already the second time that we stayed here and we'd come back again!

This is a beautiful complete secluded house in the center of Porto. We loved the modern architecture, the tasteful furnishing, the two bathrooms, the view into the garden and the trees, the fully equipped kitchen, the long dinner table downstairs and the seating area on the terrace (despite the mostly rainy weather). There is a washing machine and a large TV on the upper floor to watch your favorite series with the whole family. The contact with our hosts was always prompt and very friendly. The seagulls are a fact of life in all of Porto. Apart from them the house is wonderfully quiet and set back from the street. Access is easy through the front door of the traditional house bordering the street. We had a fantastic time as a family of four and recommend this house to all lovers of great modern Portuguese architecture and as a perfect base to explore beautiful Porto!

For those looking for a quiet spot to relax from the stress of the city, Casa do Carvalhal is the best choice! I loved my stay and Mr. Sérgio was always willing to help! I highly recommend and intend to return soon!

We spent 2 weeks in Dorinda's house. It went well, we had good tourist recommendations and nice touches. Only small negative, the smell of evacuations in the downstairs bathroom as well as the pipes that were easily clogged... However, we recommend Dorinda's property, thank you!

This is a Really great place for a big group or family! The description matches the place very well. There is lots of space and it was all very clean. The pool and decking area is great. The hosts are very friendly and responsive to messages and have lots of great recommendations! I would recommend to anyone looking at this place!!
