Cottage vacation rentals in Vestland

We recently stayed at Terje’s charming farmhouse in Norway’s Hjørundfjord, and it was a special experience. The farmhouse blends old-world charm with modern amenities and offers breathtaking views of the fjord. The house is equipped with all modern comforts, including a well-stocked kitchen, fast Wi-Fi, a big-screen smart TV, an outdoor hot tub, and comfortable beds to accommodate a large group. Two ferry ports a short drive from the farmhouse offer free rides to Ålesund, the roadless village of Trandal, and other destinations. Terje was exceptionally hospitable, providing great recommendations for local hiking activities and promptly responding to all our inquiries. He went above and beyond to make our stay at the farmhouse exceptional. Highly recommend this place for a peaceful and picturesque getaway!

Very cozy house, helpful host, well equipped kitchen, quiet and quiet, just a few nice neighbors. It is a very nice patio/jetty belonging to the house, which is about 50 meters to walk to. Missed its own patio with a view right by the house (but then we are very required size🙈). Otherwise, this place is brilliantly located for various trips in the Sunnmørs Alps. 45 minutes to Sæbø, 1 hour to Urke. Several nice walks to walk by driving a small distance up the forest road behind the house.

Thea’s place was absolutely incredible. She took the time to come outside and greet us so that we could get familiar with where everything was. The place was adorably decorated, clean, and private. The hot tub was also incredible and probably one of the most comfortable we’ve been in. If we are ever in the area again, this is the first place we’ll book.

We had a lovely stay in the cabin during February. Very cosy, warm and had all we needed. The hot tub was a great addition. Great location for skiing and winter activities near the ski senter. Stian and all other hosts were very helpful and easy to communicate with. Tussen takk :)

We enjoyed ourselves in the house at Lyngøy and would like to come back. Surprisingly nice inside the house, nicer and cozier than on the photos. Lovely view and nature We saw eagles several times and went for a lovely walk on the island. Nice to fire in the fireplace, when cold outside. Great amenities and plenty of linens and towels available. Arne is an enjoyable and helpful host.

we spent a week on Bergen and surroundings, and two days in this accommodation, clean, well arranged, classy, well heated, functional. a bit far from everything! car required. jaccusi extra... a little unfortunate, but correctly placed on the terrace it is exceptional to use.

The house is even nicer and bigger than you could see on the pictures. We did not use the boat house on the side, but it offers a good opportunity to spend time by the water in any weather. The hosts are very kind, we were greeted directly and we were shown the place. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The little house is dreamy. Old wood, modern elements and located directly on the fjord. The communication was very easy and friendly. The amenities very good and as described. We will be happy to come back!

Our stay at Ingebjorg and Johannes was great. The house was absolutely clean and quiet. Ingebjorg and her sons were always helpful. The accommodation is really recommended.

Absolutely great 😃 nothing to put off! Huge service, with very pleasant landlords!! The icing on the cake was the eggs from Hedda 9 years old , daughter on the farm. Even the house's homemade cider we could enjoy! Many thanks for us 🥰

This is 3 year in a row we stay at Heidi's place, passing through. A group of friends of 8 who came this time and Heidi made arrangements for it, even though it was basically room for 6. Very happy that everything goes so smoothly and easily here, and will also come back next year, on our way to Lærdal and football cup.

Fantastic cabin in a beautiful location. Good base for day trips to Alesund and Geiranger. Cabin looks out on the sea and there is a boat available. We fished and caught mackerel, cod, halibut and seabass. The neighbours were very friendly and helpful. Cabin was spotless and plenty of room for a six person family.

Our visit in August 2024 is an absolute holiday highlight. Birger's cottage by the lake is definitely one of the most beautiful places we have ever visited. We had fantastic days, kayaking, sunbathing and fishing. All in heavenly peace and quiet, yet only 15 minutes from Haugesund. The cottage itself is very well maintained and lovingly furnished; everything you need is there. Birger was always available and was always helpful with advice. Definitely recommended!

We were allowed to be guests in this beautiful accommodation for a week and felt very comfortable. If you are looking for an idyllic place, with great views of the fjord and lots of peace and quiet, this is the place to be. Hiking opportunities to fantastic viewpoints overlooking the fjords and mountains are also nearby and easily accessible The decor was very stylish and suitable for the house and we didn't miss anything. The rental of the boat was also totally easy and the landlord explained everything to us in detail. Communication with the hosts was always quick and easy, small questions were easily resolved. We'd love to come back if we come back to Norway.

We simply Loooved Emilie's and Elna's place. Such a priviledge that they shared their home with us. We didn't even want to explore much of the surroundings because it was simply exactly what we needed - watching the waves and water, the clouds and the everchanging weather (torrential rain, wind, sun - all in one day). Just what the doctor ordered! And we could watch that from the deck, but also from inside when the wind and cold got a bit too much outside ;) Even the boys just enjoyed hanging out. And in addition for the home to be so wonderful, Elna and Emilie are such wonderful hosts. They go way beyond and above anyone could expect of a host. We would love to come back.

Quiet surroundings with great views towards Hoddevik. Secluded yet just a walk away from the beach. The house has one as described an older standard, but contains everything you need. Spacious bedroom Anne Grete responded quickly to any questions. We would love to come again at a later date 😊
