Vacation rentals in Vallee de Haapiti

The warm, welcoming hosts (and their pups) made us feel at home right away. Heifara and Richard even arranged for a whale to breach as we arrived! The house is beautiful and spacious with all the amenities needed. The decor is Polynesian with historical elements. We enjoyed hearing about the history of our hosts, their families and their connection to the island. Our hosts were extremely responsive to any questions or requests we had during our stay. They suggested places to explore that we would have never found on our own. Great snorkeling and kayaking right off the dock. Easy to walk to stores and restaurants. The four of us had an incredible, relaxing trip to Moorea, definitely one of the best vacations we’ve had. Thank you for the wonderful stay, we look forward to seeing you soon. We stayed in the the "Big House" and very glad we did. We were able to settle right in and make ourselves at home. Having a full kitchen was perfect for us, as we like to eat some meals in. With the large covered patio that faces the beach, you're able to enjoy the long warm days in the shade if you need as well as enjoy a tropical rain! Having the two kayaks was super convenient and the snorkeling is great very near the house. The location is perfect! Sunsets are otherworldly. We were gifted the sighting of humpback whales breaching, just outside the friging reef ...IN FRONT OF OUR PATIO! Then, the "daily dolphin show" and Ray family, along with the black tip sharks that are in abundance. My husband, while snorkling, also saw a tiger shark as well as a hawksbill turtle. So many critter sightings and experiences. Needless to say, we loved our vacation. Moorea is a lovely island full of tasty eateries and kind people. Relaxation is gueranteed!

We had a fabulous time staying at Terii’s place! The house is super comfortable, and the view — ooooh, the view. We had pinch-me-is-this-real?! mornings waking up slowly with good coffee, sitting outside on the lounges and at the large outside dining table on the covered porch. Best place to sip morning coffee ever! Although we didn’t get to use them the week we were there due to rougher seas, Terii provides both kayaks and paddle boards — it’s very hard to find places that offer that! The house is just a short drive from the ferry and a grocery store. We followed recommendations to rent a car, and were very glad we did. Terii was excellent to communicate with. He made some great restaurant recommendations, answered messages so promptly, and was an excellent, thoughtful host. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. A reviewer called it their “happy place,” and I can see why. Our own private beach stay — we didn’t want to leave!

We had an amazing stay with Cindy and Julien. The fare is a separate building in their yard but it has a lot of privacy and access to the main yard. The dogs are very friendly and welcomed us everytime we would arrive. The hosts are very accommodating, they had great suggestions on things to do and see. The space is private, easily accessible and within driving distance to a lot of places like beaches. The space was perfect for us, AC worked great, the noise from the street didn't bother us (even though we are light sleepers). All in all an excellent stay, merci Julie and Cindy!

Geraldine’s place was beautifully built for comfort, relaxing, and quiet. It provided a great option of indoor bedroom area that was air conditioned which could open out into a spacious outdoor living area. The location was perfect. It is close to one of the best beaches and reef for easy snorkeling. Geraldine was very welcoming, friendly and helpful in making suggestions where to eat that felt more “local” than the nearby Hilton. Delicious food -Tamahau was lovely outdoors for dinner on the bay (also lunch) If you get lunch at Tiki Aka (2minute walk) wear your swim suit and perhaps bring your snorkel. The food was delicious and you can be served with your feet in the water and a visiting stingray! You’re welcome to swim from their beach. Cooking at the Airbnb was also easy and made for a relaxing time. Thank you Geraldine!

Lovely stay here, the pool was private and awesome, thanks you very much, lovely island, lovely people and lovely place, highly recommend, the cat Lily was gorgeous 😍
