Vacation rentals in Valle Azul

The house was very clean, as described, and had beautiful floor to ceiling windows that gave great views. Optional breakfast on site was nice and the kids enjoyed playing in the common space park area. They also had a good path around the property that made for a nice short walk through the forest at the beginning and end of the day. We really enjoyed the stay. It’s a bit outside the main downtown area so you definitely need a rental car, but if you have one, it works perfectly to be close by but feeling private.

Spent an amazing 2 months at Chris's place. Exactly what we have hoped for. The grounds and property were absolutely stunning! A true little paradise, especially if you are bird lover! A wonderful location to walk and enjoy the beauty of the lake, or walk into town to experience one of the many amazing restaurants. After we spent a day exploring, it was so nice to come back and relax in the beautiful pool! The beds were very comfy and the linens were a nice treat. Last but not least, Chris' place made us feel so at home. Chris checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. And Alex( and of course , Cindy) the property manager/ grounds keeper, added to our amazing time, his friendly smile, his whistles as he works to maintain the beautiful gardens, his funny stories and his knowledge of his country that he is so passionate about, truly was the "icing on the cake" . We feel very lucky to have found Chris' place as we now feel like we have found another home! Dave & Lisa

Our group of extended family had a great stay at the Zen village. The kids were so entertained by the pool, plenty of space to explore. We milked the cow one morning. It feels like a rainforest treehouse and an experience like no other. Juan was so helpful and even helped us change a flat tire on a Sunday! Mario ordered our pizza from Pizza Ranch to be delivered upon arrival for our first night when we were too tired to cook or drive into town. We cooked two family dinners on the big pavilion which felt super special and private. Can’t say enough good about it. This Airbnb is an experience in itself, and a little oasis for coming to and from adventures. The only negative - thin blankets and pillows.

Our stay was an absolute dream! The accommodation was perfect, and we felt completely at home. We loved using the whirlpool every evening—it was pure relaxation. The location was also ideal, making everything easily accessible. A special highlight was the two cats that came to visit us regularly, adding even more charm to our stay. We would absolutely come back!

Our stay at this incredible Airbnb was nothing short of magical! Nestled in the heart of the jungle, the property offers breathtaking views of the volcano—waking up to that sight every morning was truly unforgettable. The home itself is stunning, beautifully designed, and perfectly blends luxury with nature. The beds were incredibly comfortable, ensuring restful nights after days filled with adventure. One of our favorite parts of the stay was lounging by the gorgeous pool, surrounded by lush greenery, with the occasional visit from a friendly iguana! It was the perfect spot to relax and take in the sounds of the jungle. The hosts went above and beyond to make our trip seamless. They helped us book taxis and excursions, making everything effortless. They even arranged to have groceries delivered before our arrival, which was a thoughtful touch that made us feel instantly at home. If you’re looking for a unique, relaxing, and adventure-filled getaway, this is the place to be!

We had an absolute blast at this Airbnb. The host was so responsive and made everything as convenient as possible for us. As 2 girls traveling to Costa Rica for the first time, we felt extremely safe and well taken care of by Juan. He offered to drive us around for reasonable Uber prices, including picking us up from the airport 3 hours away as well as driving us to our next Airbnb in Tamarindo. Having him as our driver was great because he stopped at various points of interest along the way. He checked in on us regularly, ensuring we were having a good stay. He also provided several options for activities and restaurants. The Airbnb itself was amazing too, the hammocks were so relaxing to lay out on while listening to the birds chirp in the morning! It was just a 1 mile walk into town and a 5 minute walk from the fortuna river and salto rope swing, which was free to enter. Overall, we were very satisfied with our stay and cannot recommend it enough!

Our stay at José's went extremely well. La Cabina is perfect, very nicely decorated, the bedding is comfortable, the view of the Arenal volcano is just amazing. José is so kind and active in answering any question and recommending us lots of tips, he was there from start to finish. We were sad to leave this little paradise in nature. We had a wonderful stay at this place, Leandro’s family was so welcoming and hospitable. His father Milton showed us his garden, cut us some fresh coconut from the garden, brought some toys and gave us great tips for the area. The house is bright and spacious with lots of room for two parties traveling together. The pool is amazing and the garden is huge. It feels like a true paradise. It’s also a great place to stay with kids. All major sight of La Fortuna are ca 30-40 minutes away and this feels like an area where locals really live, go to school or eat. We really recommend this place and thanks Milton and family for everything.

AMAZING. Such a beautiful and peaceful place, the view is WAY better in real, the room are big and clean with hot water, really a piece of paradise!!! The only thing to know, there is a breakfast for a great price available. Otherwise you need to think to buy some food to eat. It is not far away from the little town where you have a few restaurants (maybe 1-2?), a little convenient store and a place to get meat but it is a bumpy road to come back to get it, so think ahead and buy it before you get there!
