Hilary and Peter were perfect hosts. Friendly and informative. Woodpecker cottage was clean, warm, comfortable and peaceful. A great place to stay to get away from it all. Our dogs loved the garden and paddock.

We loved our stay at Orchard Cottage for a hiking weekend in the Lake District ! The cottage was one of the best equipped we’ve ever stayed in with high quality appliances and everything that we needed. Melissa was a welcoming and responsive host and we hope to return again in the future ! Highly recommended !

What a find photos does not do the property justice. Was welcomed and made to feel at home but given total privacy. What a wonderful place to stay. Bear also was impressed with the walks straight out the door. Not to mention the dog treats left for him.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautifully designed barn-style home. The warm, cozy interior—with brass tones, high wooden beams, and perfectly curated decor—was stunning. The secluded location offered breathtaking views, including a herd of sheep grazing nearby. The host was friendly, professional, and very understanding. A perfect getaway—I’d love to return!
