Hotel vacation rentals in Uttarakhand

We are a group of 3 families with kids. The place was better than we expected and we had loads of fun. It's a well developed property with nice views of the mountains. It is right in between Nainital and Mukteshwar. The staff was courteous and prompt. We had the pleasure of meeting with the owner Mr. Ashok and he was gracious and helpful. Must visit place !

Every thing was nice but they are in hurry to push you out. At 11am. The care taker started calling at 11am. Constantly. To vacate the room which was little upsetting. Also the place is beautiful location but. The approach of the caretaker was not great Very dry and no smile on face .

We booked Harshit’s place for 2 nights on New years. I did the booking very hastily, just going by the reviews. But after visiting the place, i can say that it surpassed all of our expectations. 2 days at Old British house turned out be just the kind of escape we had been looking for. We were mesmerised by the old, rustic charm of this place and how well it is preserved over generations. Rooms were spacious with artfully decorated corners, clean beddings and neat bathroom. This was more like a bonding vacation for the kids ( 4 year old & 6 year old) who were meeting after a year. And at Old British house we didn’t had to take any extra effort to keep them busy. They enjoyed early morning encounters with monkeys, spotted new birds, climbed mango tress and ran around the spacious lawn. Bon fires & start gazing at night were great too. A very special mention to mr. Raj for accommodating all of our requests. Thank you Sehgal family for a memorable stay. Looking forward to visit again.

What a truly magical place. The photographs of Mount Abode are lovely but I don't think any image will do the place justice. It is a really peaceful retreat away from busy Rishikesh with the most beautiful view of the Shivalik Himalayas that will take your breath away. Waking up and opening your curtains to watch the sunrise behind the mountains from bed is so special. This is a really quiet place. No noise. No traffic sounds. No hectic energy. No crowds. There is no wifi and I had no signal personally. For me, this was completely perfect and a welcome break from any distractions. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat in nature in the most beautiful surroundings - look no further. The food is delicious - simple, sattvic and made with love. You will be well-fed 3 times a day and also the chef makes delicious Chai! Yash is very warm, welcoming and accommodating. He is also a fantastic yoga teacher so hopefully you get a morning practice with him. A beautiful dream stay.

Mr Sunando is an excellent host. He personally guides guests all through. He dropped in to ascertain that we were comfortable and settled. The staff -Subhash, Umaid, Bhagat were keen to meet our requirements. The cottage is located on a hill side, in a beautiful area, along tiger trail. Perfect place for environment and nature lovers including birding and trekking. The complementary breakfast was fresh, well cooked and wholesome. We enjoyed all the meals at the property itself. They arrange pick and drop from a designated parking on the road, in their own 4 wheel drives. All in all a very pleasant stay. They welcome pets. We went with our cat.

Shashank is a great host and Hari Sharnam is everything and more what's described about it. Location was very convenient for us and place is absolutely clean. you would not want to miss food at this place. thanks for having us Shashank.

The property is a heritage building just 500m from mall road. Its easy to find and has a parking soace of its own. The food was great, the views were even better. It was a very comfortable stay and we look forward to staying again at Pranav's.

Had an amazing stay here at The Baakhli. Property is really good and staff as well. It is located in a peaceful location away from the hustle and bustle. The stay was absolutely 5/5. The room looks exactly the same as in pictures. The rooms are immaculately clean and stylishly decorated. The room is very close to Laxman jhulla parking and many cafés are just on walking distance. Host was kind and helpful. Would love to visit the place again. Highly recommended !

I REALLY enjoyed my stay here. The place is situated in Upper Tapovan which keeps it nice and quiet though the hustle and bustle is just a meet minutes away by foot if you’d like to step into it. The bedroom was very clean and had such a homey vibe. The food at the cafe is amazing and very reasonably priced. There is space to do yoga both indoors and outdoors, a recording studio for podcasts and music, a ceramics studio, multiple places to meditate, live classes and events throughout the week, and a place for massage/treatments to name only a few. What made this property stand out the most is the lovely staff who made me feel right at home, as a long time friend rather than just a guest. It was told to me that, “Aavya is a magical place where magical people come and do magical things,” and nothing could have rang more true. See you all soon! It’s truly a magical place.

Mr Kamal was extremely friendly. I did not get the honor to meet him but not one day passed without him reaching out making sure i am okay and i am well fed even when i left my food he reached out to make sure i get what i want. He was also very sweet and keen on my safety and well being during check in as the road is scary once the sun is down. Mr Naresh also was the sweetest, he doesn’t speak much english yet he was more than able to communicate and drive me to the village and good spots. He is sweet and extremely helpful. Im partially sad i didnt extend my stay at that beautiful place tbh.

Our stay at Dopaar by the Brook was wonderful. From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the serene setting and warm hospitality. The location is a perfect blend of tranquility and natural beauty, ideal for families, friends, or solo travelers escaping city life. The room was clean and spacious, with wooden ceilings and walls adding charm. The cozy atmosphere, beautiful dining spaces, and delicious food made our stay delightful. The brook added a soothing soundtrack, and the outdoor seating areas were perfect for relaxing. Special thanks to our host Nikhil, who was incredibly responsive. He promptly arranged an affordable vehicle for us from Dehradun to Chakrata. Kudos to Niresh for picking us up, showing us around, and sharing fascinating stories about the places we visited. I highly recommend this hidden gem for a peaceful and safe retreat. A request to all tourists: Please be responsible and do not litter with plastic waste. Respect nature and the local community.

It was a good experience staying at The Hosteller. The staff was responsive and took good care of me. The food at the on-site cafe was also good, with plenty of options. While I stayed in a private room, I would say it’s an ideal place to stay if you’re coming with a group, like college friends.

We had a fantastic time at Myrica cottages. It checks all the boxes for a vacation where you just want to relax and unwind in the middle of nature. The Location: Beautiful, peaceful and completely isolated, but easily accessible. If you are looking for a quiet place away from the hustle & bustle of the city life, then this is the place. Also there are some nice treks in the vicinity which you can do at leisure. One of those will take you to the Himalaya view point and the other to a nice, pristine water stream. the Location is fabulous. The Stay: The cottages are very tastefully done and are a perfect setting for a chilled out relaxing time either for couples or even for a group. The food: Since there is nothing in the vicinity, you will have to rely on everything from their kitchen, but the good thing is that Prakash cooks excellent food and you dont feel like you are missing anything. The Hosts: Extremely friendly and helpful. All the best to the team for future.

This is one of the best stays I’ve ever had. The photos don’t do justice to the entire property. I was pleasantly surprised since it exceeded all my expectations - the beautiful cottage, the prompt and hospitable service, the scenic views, and the warm staff. You have to park your car at a makeshift parking by the highway where a caretaker is present to look after your car. A lot of other camps have their guests park here too. It’s safe, from my personal experience. The 45-min hike from the parking to the camp can be tiring in the heat of the sun but it is worth it. They have three dogs - Pixie, Jimmy, and Bolt - to keep you company. You can visit the nearby waterfall and beach. They are happy to arrange rafting as well via their contacts. Since it’s a remote property, you’ll want to carry your packaged snacks and drinks. The menu here is extensive and you can get service until 9:30-10 in the night. You will be treated to more food than you can possibly consume. See you again!

I recently had the pleasure of staying at Shantanu's Airbnb, a wild , rustic, and peaceful property on a massive agricultural land offering stunning views of icy mountains and it was an experience to cherish. As his second guest, I was welcomed into earthen, cozy rooms that exuded warmth and comfort. The highlight of my stay was undoubtedly the homely food, visit to Devariyatal and Chandrashilla trek. After a tiring day, each evening, the cook delighted us with dishes like desi ghee moong dal halwa, making every meal feel like a heartfelt offering. The traditional pahadi dal and the unique local chutney made from the marijuana plant were culinary revelations. The firepit area became a favorite spot. Sipping chai and enjoying dinner by the fire added a magical touch to our evenings. Shantanu, our host, is an exceptional. Thanks for unforgettable stay.
