This is definitely a quirky place which will be a good fit for some people but not for others.
Some pro’s: 1. Lots of space 2. Very central location 3. Quiet. There’s really no one else in the building and even the outside city noises are not severe 4. The first three floors of this building are beautiful. 5. Despite its central downtown location, it feels quite secure. Good lighting and security cameras. 6. Nice, modern kitchen
The con’s: 1. The attic space is nothing like the rest of the house. Looks like it is furnished with life’s leftovers 2. The piano is pretty, but don’t expect to play it. Out of tune and many of the keys are chipped. 3. Bedroom is dingy, with little rod or drawer space for your things. The lights are dim. High pile carpet instead of flooring. 4. Bathroom is so oddly shaped that a large person could have trouble getting around the door to the toilet. 5. Kitchen cutting boards were not clean. Same with the first plate we took out of the cupb

One of the most distinctive Airbnbs I have stayed at. Great location, very clean in a quiet neighborhood. I had no trouble finding parking right outside the building entrance.

My Uncle and I enjoyed the quirky mansion! We really liked playing the piano (which would be even more amazing if the pedals could be put back on!). The little deck gives a harbor view and lovely place to have your morning coffee. The mansion history and other floors were fun to explore.
A word of caution for those with mobility issues- there are indeed a number of steep steps to get up to the top floor. And things are in olden days proportions and tucked under the eaves: the second water closet/toilet isn't easy or maybe possible to enter if you are of average size as the door opens inward. We also weren't able to ever get hot water in one of the showers, despite letting the tap run. We also found parking to be a challenge. The mansion is currently shoes off from the ground floor because or recently cleaned carpets, so maybe pack slippers or fun socks.

The mansion penthouse is wholly unique. Such a fun experience getting to stay here and Robert made it incredibly easy. From alerting us about earlier check-in to providing extremely clear details through the process.
