Maureen is such a lovely, warm person who we immediately felt at ease with. Her guest cottage, as well as her attached home, are quaint, charming and magical. The arched windows and doors are gorgeous, and the dramatic ceiling in the front room is too. We loved all of the surroundings, her beautiful landscaping and all-out Halloween decorations! She had recommendations for us, and even inquired afterward how our day's activities were. A generous amount of simple breakfast items, juices, milk, coffee, teas were left for us. We would not hesitate to stay in Maureen’s cottage again. Simply magical!

As other reviews mention, Maureen’s place makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a fairy tale. The gothic windows look out onto beautifully landscaped gardens with places to sit and relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. A fire in the woodstove when we arrived was so cozy along with the footed bathtub, the full kitchen with many thoughtful breakfast items provided. A wonderful collection of books and movies. Plush towels, comfortable bed, and room darkening curtains. Maureen truly has thought of EVERYTHING a guest could possibly need, and she was a delightful hostess. Highly recommend her place.

If I could rate this place 100000/10 I would. We had GPS issues that caused us to be much later than we anticipated. Maureen was so incredibly understanding, kind, and patient about it. Where we stayed truly felt like it was out of a story book. There were so many little touches that really made this place cozy and feel like home. Maureen had groceries for us which was so thoughtful and kind. She gave us AMAZING recommendations for activities to do and restaurants to eat at. She is a wonderful person who clearly takes so much pride in her beautiful home and her country! Our only regret is we were only there for two nights. My fiancé and I have already said we are absolutely coming back and staying here for longer! By far one of those most beautiful homes and grounds I've ever seen. You absolutely won't regret staying here!
