Cole was very knowledgeable and passionate. He was also very patient with us as we walked slowly in the pouring rain. We didn't fully understand prior to booking the tour that this tour is specific to the movies mentioned in the description (which we hadn't seen). We kinda hoped it would mention a lot of movies filmed in New York, but this tour is specific to the ones filmed on Fifth Ave and the Park area. It was still cool and we learned some fun things. If you haven't seen the movies mentioned in the description, make you do for a more meaningful experience.

We had a great time exploring Carnegie Hill with Cole. His storytelling was engaging and he often had personal details of when he met actors or actresses on the street.

Definitely bring good, comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk and/or stand the whole time. The entire walk is only about 1.7 miles, but it’s a slow meander with a lot of stops, so you’ll want to be comfortable the whole time.

This is a lovely walk around a lovely neighbourhood. Cole is very charming and kindly waited a full 20 minutes for us as we were running late (we were the only ones on the tour so weren't holding up others).

It was interesting to hear about where old movie stars and literary stars lived, however in terms of the films I think adding photos or showing the scenes on a tablet would enhance what you are looking at.

If you have the time definitely look at the films he'll be mentioning - a lot are from the 70's or 80's, so you might need a catch up on them.

We had a (paying) 9 year old with us, but it's not really a tour kids gain a lot from, so leave them at home if you can.
All in all though it was lovely to learn about a chunk of New York, and it was a very pleasant time.
