Vacation rentals in Unguja North Region

Dear Kamelia and Leonhard, Thank you for the loving and caring hospitality. We felt very comfortable with you and enjoyed our vacation. The neighbor's beeping water pump was a bit annoying, but you can't do anything about it. You can hardly hear the Muizin and at night it is very quiet except for the ravens and the rooster in the morning 😅 Everything worked well technically and the power outages were almost unnoticed. We enjoyed the pool very much because the water was always well tempered. Maybe you could put the clothesline in the sun instead of in the narrow shady backyard next to the generator (just as a tip). The location is very good, as the supermarket and fruit stands are right nearby, but it would be better to go to the beach by bike or car. It is very far to walk because the adjacent resorts block the short path and you have to take detours. Thanks Kamelia for your insider tips. I can only recommend it. We loved our time here! We would absolutely come back - when you stay here be sure to go to the restaurant. It was phenomenal! The pool was wonderful, the staff were helpful and we even booked a massage through the hotel. I would highly recommend doing that for your stay as well! The masseuse suggested doing the massage at the Yoga Bar - hearing the ocean while getting the massage was wonderful! We will absolutely be back!

Fukuchani Inn is wonderful - the staff is pleasant, kind, and very willing to help with whatever you might need. Everyone was friendly and we had a wonderful stay. The Inn is right near the ocean, a quick little walk to a beautiful (albeit rocky) beach, and it's very close (about 15 mins) from Nungwi beach. And the pool is lovely! We stayed in the 2-bedroom Villa and it was perfect for my family, plenty of space and very clean. And of course I have to mention Daisy, the basset hound!! Such a friendly and good girl :) We would love to come back one day - overall, great stay :) Friendly reminder to travelers, Tanzania and Zanzibar often have power outages, and this includes A/C - but they only lasted a few mins each time, and the staff aims to provide as comfortable a stay as possible.

I have been visiting Zanzibar for years. This place is a great. I highly recommend. I hang out pretty late. So have your transportation arranged. Place is a great location, not far from the beach or local night life. In the daytime I had not problem walking to the main road (<5mins) hailing a Boda Boda (Motobike taxi). But it can be an hit or miss.

My family had a wonderful 4 nights staying at Margo’s property - very private, very large functional bedrooms with fans, air conditioning and private ensuites, plus a separate fully self contained 3rd bedroom. A beautiful pool, 24 hour security onsite, daily house cleaning by Ester. And the dogs were super friendly and great company. If you like football, pack your boots and enjoy a game with the locals on the pitch next door. If you like tapas or just really good food - recommend having dinner at “ To Be” which is approx 1km from Margo’s. Couldn’t find fault with the accommodation or the lovely Margo as a wonderful host, who was available, responsive but also gave us total privacy.

We loved everything about our stay at Villa Funga. The house was everything the pictures had promised; spacious, cool decor, fantastic pool (the water was actually cooling), attentive staff - and beautifully located on the beach. Plenty of nice restaurants at resorts nearby, especially if you love seafood. Local groceries can be found at the local marked a short walk from the house. All in all just a wonderful place!

Very nice little villa with all the necessary amenities and impeccably clean. Several restaurants nearby. Fully secured private residence. Excellent communication with the host.

Perfect stay, quiet with a private chef who can cook for you every day. Little corner of paradise. I highly recommend this listing! Mr. Davies was very responsive.

Anne’s place was modern and clean. The staff was amazing and went over and beyond to accommodate us whether it came to booking tours/ excursions or something we randomly needed around the property. I would 100% recommend if you're looking for a balance between remote and relaxation but close enough to get to the main attractions of the island.
