the unit is perfect , clean and cozy, the host responses quickly, and so welcoming, the unit is minutes away from Kyoto station.

A wonderful stay, very nice and spacious apartment, tidy and clean. Out of the chaos of the center but easily reachable by metro or a 15-minute walk. The owners are fantastic, among their proposals there is the possibility of being welcomed with the tea ceremony, a very nice experience, absolutely recommended.

We had a wonderful stay at this quiet, beautifully traditional Japanese home. The location was peaceful and well-situated for exploring the area, and the house itself was full of charm and authenticity. It truly felt like a serene retreat. The host was fantastic—kind, responsive, and made sure everything was in place for a great experience.

Kazuya’s place was awesome. We loved having so much space to move around in and the theming was so fun. Everything was very clean and Kazuya was one of the best hosts we’ve ever had. He answered all questions and helped us whenever needed. Would 100% recommend!

This house is a stunning and historic property. Summer and Spring might be best times to stay. We were chilly at times in shared spaces on lower level. We were challenged preparing simple meals in the kitchen which includes only very basic cookware. The stairs are very steep and could be intimidating for some. Best, were amazing places to eat just feet from the house, long soaks in the outside tub and strolling "the hood" discovering the work of amazing craftsman in local shops. Grocery shopping and walks in the park also all close to house. Great slice of Kyoto.

Very nice place to stay at! Me and my girlfriend drove to Kyoto for a relaxing trip, this place is located in the mountains so it’s very quiet but easy to get to if you’re driving. The host is very nice. Would definitely recommend!

Lovely time at Kyoto House! A really fun space, mix of classic Japanese and western style. The doorways are a little low if you’re tall but really no complaints. Would stay again!

I wish we had stayed longer. This place is in a great location. It was very comfortable and spacious compared to other places in Japan. I highly recommend this pad and would stay here again if I had the opportunity. Walking distance to local attractions and restaurants.

House is a very good location, very well equipped and is a very pleasant place to stay in.

We had a great stay here with 11 adults. The layout is unique with little windows, doors, and other mysteries throughout the home. It is very old and should be preserved where possible, but it could use some extra upkeep. Many of the sliding doors and windows are stuck or damaged, the gutter is full of leaves, lightbulbs are mismatched, there's some unfinished drywall in the kitchen - just minor things like this. With some extra attention, it could be a luxury property. Regardless, we recommend this place. Thanks for having us!

this is a most amazing place we have ever stayed with air bnb, kitchen is equipped with all necessary cooking stuff and even various seasoning, bedrooms are superb.... Children have plenty of space inside the building and backyard for running, the space is more than enough for our 12 people group. ......... Perfect.......

Shan’s place was the most immaculate and authentic Airbnb stay we have ever experienced. It was thoughtfully designed with local appointments such as shoji screens and a modified low dining table. The host was so kind to give us detailed advice on how to travel to Osaka and Nara and even provided us with a generous selection of local snacks and beverages. Thank you for making our Kyoto stay a true pleasure.

Serene Japanese home. It’s a drive from the touristy area but it’s easy to drive to or to take the public transit. We really enjoyed the home. It was very peaceful. Take advantage of the tea room and scenic yard

Our stay at Yanbin’s place was great! We really felt at home, at a Japanese home! Place is great, location was awesome! Away from the tourists but still super close to any action Kyoto offers! Yanbin was super friendly, always willing to help and put up with all my questions! Honestly a great place, plenty of room, comfortable and great location! Our kids were very careful around the house, but with so much space it was really great! Everyone had its own corner in the house to enjoy their reading, playing a game, reading a book or sipping a coffee/tea/sake! Highly recommended without a doubt! Thank you Yanbin, see you next time!

Had a great stay here! Everything was clean and nice. Bathroom was great. If you're tall, just watch your head so you don't hit it on the low door frames

There is🈶 a supermarket and shopping mall called Yongwang nearby, and it takes about 15 minutes or less to walk to Kyoto Station.According to the Chinese people's habit, this place is called the alley.Great for families or girlfriends and brothers traveling together.Good value for the money.I'll keep coming back if I need to.

I've stayed in many airbnbs, and Hershey's place has been one of the best! The historic tea house was so charming, and we LOVED the outdoor bath/garden!!

It was a clean and easy to use and a good house. The bedroom is also large and there are many. It was very nice to stay with other families with friends and family. It was also nice to have multiple sinks and toilets. The living room space was spacious enough for a large group, and we had a good time until night. During the day, we had a lake BBQ at the nearby Matsuura Campground.The lake is easy to see, but it was about a 5-minute walk to a place where you can BBQ. It is also less than 10 minutes by car, and there is just the right one-day hot spring (Hiratopia). Even with a large group of children, it is conveniently divided into a group of people entering the house and a day-use hot spring pair. The convenience store and station were close.

Loved staying there. A bit of the beaten track but easy to catch a train.

Great place to be with family in especially with kids. Perfect location if you plan to visit bamboo forest, monkey park and still only 20 min train ride to Kyoto station

Great host! Super helpful. He came very quickly to help us when the front door lock broke and was very understanding. The house had everything listed and the beds were very comfortable.
