“Like staying in a museum surrounded by antiques and lots of surprising details and memorabilia, and there's enough comfy seating in your space to find the chair that's just right. A quiet place with lots to think about and write about, with the decorations and floor plan like living in a writing prompt. Enjoyed chatting with Vicki, and I look forward to returning.”
This place is Piece of heaven and relaxation, which lets you Enjoy the views, nature, and quite time away from the city. Hello! Great place to celebrate anniversary with some quiet retreat and wine tasting.
“My wife and I were trying to find a place for our honeymoon in the middle of the COVID-19 outbreak and were unable to find anything we were originally hoping for in terms of being able to travel foreign. After seeing that so many places outside and inside of the US were shut down we decided to take a look at what was available locally, just for the heck of it. So we were surprised to see somewhere as beautiful as Leon’s place was available! My wife and I have so much that we enjoyed about our stay! The building/mini house/guest house was absolutely beautiful. It’s not the biggest space but it’s maximized very well with tall ceilings and lots of natural light. The bedroom has an AMAZING view of the property which makes you feel like your secluded on a mountainside!! The Roku TV worked very well (with just a couple of issues with the WiFi because it would go into sleep mode if we didn’t keep using it). And the air-con unit had no problem regulating the temperature of the whole space when you keep the doors at least partially open into the bedroom. The only thing that we would’ve liked to have had differently is if there were some window coverings in the front room for extra privacy. And Leon was very responsive with our messages! Two thumbs up 👍🏻👍🏻 BOTTOM LINE: this place was impressively beautiful and felt amazingly private! An amazing get away if you wanna stay local”
My house was fixed up inside and out before I bought it so everything is brand new. It is a 20 minute walk to downtown Salem and 5 minutes by bicycle. I-5 is a 10 minute drive. Smoking allowed outside. (I don't smoke though.) Please, pretty please, close doors quietly. There is a Golden Retriever here and she loves people. If you really don't like dogs it will be a problem. Her name is Jadzia and her throne is the living room recliner :-)
“Lars’ home is warm and inviting. He is very easy to be with, and I enjoyed my stay. The room was comfortable, warm, and quiet. His golden retriever puppy, Jadzia, very much the lady of the house. She is sweet, rambunctious, and entertaining - I loved her! But if you aren’t a dog fan, stay elsewhere. The location was perfect for my quick trip to Willamette University to visit my son. I would definitely stay with him again next time I’m in Salem.”
