Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Trentham

Fuss free check in to this comfortable cottage and easy walk to shops and restaurants (can recommend Taj Mahal, Cliffy’s, Koukla and La Luna). Short drive to Hepburn Springs and Castlemaine for more adventures. Had a blast playing Trivial Pursuit and enjoyed breakfast on the verandah and reading a magazine in the private backyard. Carlos provided information before check in re heating (there was ample for cosy cooler nights) and appliance use. Highly recommend the home and host. Thanks Carlos!

can't thank Andrew enough for a beautiful stay. Home was gorgeous, clean and had the most delicious welcome goodies. Beds were comfy with beautiful linen and the farm was gorgeous and felt like a home away from home especially for our busy weekend of basketball. thank Andrew for thinking of everything we might need and being a great host! Kids especially loved Scrabble and watching the Hereford babies run around the paddock. thanks again - Harris' Family.

The hostExtremely comfortable house in beautiful surroundings. Very well equipped with excellent attention to detail, and lots of surprising nice touches. Comfortable beds and pillows with lovely doonas and bed linen. Plenty of clean, fresh blankets. Firewood chopped and ready to go. All bathroom amenities provided were natural and environmentally friendly. Well equipped kitchen with nothing missing. Even supplied a very nice organic ground coffee for the coffee plunger, and fresh local milk. Beautiful birds and lots of wildlife sightings both at the property and in the region. The Blackwood hotel is nicely renovated and a great place to go for dinner and/or drinks, and is about 500m walk from the property. We took some extra supplies with us, which we bought at the IGA at Trentham, which was very well stocked. Overall, we couldn’t fault the property - it was perfect. The host was very good with communication, responding to enquiries, and providing instructions. Would return!

Our stay at Deb’s place was terrific. Beautiful home in a great location which was quiet and within walking distance to a great cafe. Very relaxing sitting on the balcony enjoying the sunshine. King beds were super comfy & the bath was the best. Highly recommend

We had such a wonderful stay in mt Macedonia over the long weekend. We spent most of the time hanging out in the lounge room and playing pool at night. It was great for 3 families. We visited hanging rock one morning and had a counter meal at the local hotel. We also saw kangaroos in the mornings. Adam was a great host, really quick with communication and had some great tips for the region. Thanks Adam and Erika x

Absolutely loved our stay at Brad and CJ’s property. The house is huge, the yard is amazing and my dog had the time of her life. The fireplace and the living area is gorgeous. Brad and CJ were super helpful providing early check in and late checkout to really maximise our stay. We cannot wait to stay again, and already have a new booking planned.

Lynne and Ray met us at the property with the key and showed us around.Nice and spacious with lovely little touches that we appreciated. Lynne and Ray are really nice people and I would recommend anyone to stay at their property.

We had a fabulous stay at Sailors Falls Estate! Margaret and Robert were so helpful and the villa was very comfortable. We found the nearby Daylesford attractions easy to get to but also enjoyed relaxing at the villa with a lovely wine from the cellar door!

The Unit was spot on! Close walk to city centre (3 minutes) if you can’t be bothered walking that far there is a place to eat across the road, lots of thing to do within walking distance, train ride, market on a Sunday, lots of restaurants, cafe’s, shops, museums! Quick walk to the Wombats garden. Wineries within driving distance (great wines!) Thanks Renee & Izzy! We enjoyed our Easter trip away from Geelong..

A perfect quick getaway. The colour scheme is instantly calming and the entire apartment has been very tastefully put together. Very homely vibes with amazing art work, mementos of the Theatre and just a chilled atmosphere. Hearing the movie play next door was very cool - not too loud at all but reminded you of what a cool place you’re staying in. We will definitely stay again and absolutely recommend to everyone who says they are coming to Castlemaine.

Really nice, kinda period New York laid out apartment. Directions are good. Master bedroom is enormous and nice n dark n quiet at night. Well located close to Sturt Street. We enjoyed our stay for 4 over Christmas

Had a wonderful stay, the place was everything as described, spacious, very clean and well equipped with everything you need, and we especially liked that it was so close to Lake Daylesford. The balcony backed out onto the lake and was the prefect spot to relax and watch the sunset. Something to note for anyone with mobility issues, this suite (3) can only be accessed by a slightly steep flight of stairs which proved to be a little difficult for my elderly mum, would’ve have been great if this was included in the details beforehand. There also seemed a slight problem with toilet seat (wasn’t fitted properly) and some information contained in the ‘information file’ in the suite contradicted with the details (check-out times) that was provided. However overall, we had a fabulous stay, it is a gorgeous place and would definitely recommend!

Hepburn springs and surrounding area are generally expensive but this accommodation was very reasonably priced.Unfortunately most of Hepburn Springs is either up for sale or closed down but Daylesford is only 5 minutes away by car and theres plenty to see or do there.

We had the best time at Jason's place. The decor was beautiful and the property was positioned perfectly for what we envisioned for our Ballarat get-away. Highly recommend this property and hosts - we will visit again in the future. Thank you!

Had such a lovely weekend getaway. Feels very private with such stunning views and heaps of wildlife. The hot tub is awesome and it’s only a short drive into town. Would definitely stay again!

We had an extra long weekend in one of the 2 story villas at Hepburn Springs for the Daylesford Chillout Festival. We could not have been more delighted! Beautiful surroundings and view from our villa, perfect 2 bedrooms, each with private bathrooms and all the amenities we could want. Parking easy, coffee machines and aircon, lovely clean and comfy beds. This place is a special find for us and we will definitely return. We also loved the location within easy reach of all the local shops and restaurants.

Really enjoyed the stay, the place was clean and the spot 2nd to none right on the lake.

This spring villa surpassed our expectations. The fireplace was a delightful touch, and the host was kind enough to leave firewood for us. The bed is very comfortable. Great host. Will suggest to my friends.

House was clean and tidy, had a really nice warmth as soon as you walked in the front door. Amber was super easy to communicate with and allowed us to check in early upon request which was awesome, and we appreciated a lot! Spa was great to be in on a cold night with a full view of the stars in the sky. Our favourite part of the whole house had to be the couch in the living area, it was so comfortable we wanted to take it home with us. Really had a fantastic time, would come back again definitely.

Our stay at the Vicarage was absolute perfection. From the moment we arrived—lights on, music playing—we felt instantly relaxed. The home is a perfect blend of luxury, comfort, and charm and Dean is an incredibly thoughtful host. The fires were set, the hot tub was ready, and a generous selection of provisions welcomed us. There were no tedious rules, just an open invitation to unwind and enjoy. The gardens were gorgeous too with plenty of quiet spots to enjoy a book or a cuppa, and Sammy the cat made us feel right at home. Every detail was focused on comfort and ease. We (reluctantly!) left feeling refreshed and are already dreaming of coming back. Thanks Dean for an unforgettable stay, you have truly perfected the art of hosting. Highly recommend this place! A group of us stayed here for the weekend and had such a great time. The property itself is massive and secluded but also right near Hepburn springs/Daylesford, which meant there was so much to do both on and off site. The house itself is beautiful in design, and also well equipped with all the amenities you need. The beds are very comfortable and the rooms are very cosy which is always a nice addition. It is also the middle of winter but this had no impact on our stay, as the house is full of heaters which do a great job at heating it whole. We cannot fault Kelly and Kristopher as hosts either. They made the check in/out process such a breeze, and were quick to respond to any questions we had. 10/10 stars for this place.
