Go to the mountains and highlands during the day, and the tranquility of Satoyama at night. This is a rental cottage where you can enjoy a sauna, BBQ, and a starry sky. Recommended for those who want to relax in Azumino, as well as for one or more night stays as a base for sightseeing in Kamikochi and Hakuba. Convenient access to Hakuba, Kamikochi, and Tateyama-Kurobe.It can also accommodate group trips, family trips, and long-term stays.There is a laundry machine and a bathroom with a dryer function, so you can have a comfortable stay even for extended periods. You can also come by public transport, but the area is more convenient to have a car. Free pick-up and drop-off are available at Shinano-Matsukawa Station and Akashina Station.Other pick-up and drop-off services and sightseeing pick-up and drop-off services are available for 2,000 yen to 8,000 yen (round-trip fare) depending on the distance, within 2 hours each way.For groups of 5 or more, we can arrange a rental car, so please consult with us in advance. There are still openings on weekdays in September. It is also recommended for student trips in the latter half of summer vacation, as well as for couples and small groups.

Location Opened in May 2024. Located in the heart of Takayama's historic district, Makoto-ya Ojin is a stylish inn in 1-chome, Ojin-cho, Takayama City, where the good old Japanese landscape remains. In front of our house, which is sandwiched between the Hida-Buri Highway that connects the former Toyama and Takayama, there are the Nissho-bu Mingei Kan and the Yoshima residence, which are important cultural properties that show the rich cultural assets of Japan, and this area is designated as a preservation district for traditional buildings. You can enjoy the old town and beautiful scenery while experiencing historic buildings. It is a 2-minute walk to Miyagawa Morning Market and a 5-minute walk to Sakurayama Hachimangu Shrine, the site of the autumn Takayama Festival. The festival stall in this area is called Hōmeita, and it has a variety of decorations such as a palanquin and sculptures (1-minute walk to the stall). This is a renovated 120-year-old private house built in the traditional streets (Yamamachi-suji) of Takaoka City, Toyama Prefecture.Located about a 10-minute walk from Takaoka Station, with good transport links to Toyama, Kanazawa, the Amaharu Coast, Himi, Tonami, and Shiroishi.If you have a car, you can also easily access Noto, the World Heritage Sites of Gokayama and Shirakawa-go, the Kurobe Tateyama Alpine Route, and sightseeing in Takayama. It is not only located in Yamaichisuji, but can also be used as a base for sightseeing in Takaoka, such as the foundry town of Kanyamachi (10-minute walk), Takaoka Great Buddha (10-minute walk), Takaoka Castle Ruins (15-minute walk), and the national treasure Zuiyuji Temple (25-minute walk).
