The place is so spacious, the biggest room we’ve stayed in Japan so far. The host is very responsive. Replies right away. You can check-in anytime, just inform the host. She even gave us train directions going to the places we want.

I was allowed to stay for two days.It was two days moved by the Goemon bath and delicious food.There was also interaction with the family, and we had a very pleasant time, thank you very much.

Tae was an amazing host, communication was great, she gave me some very helpful tips on how to get around and even checked-in to see how I was doing on my day trip. The place itself is something special, it takes a bit of research to get there using public transport, but if you value unique experiences, this one is a must-do. Location is quiet and peaceful.

The owner was very, very kind!!!I got the wrong address for check-in and arrived late, but I was relieved that they handled it politely after my arrival!It was a very beautiful accommodation!!I enjoyed a trip with my childhood friend for the first time in a long time!!I wanted to go to the Sanchikuyu restaurant that I've been to with my friends, but I couldn't go because of my friend's schedule, so I definitely want to go there to eat when I come again!!

bushi's homestay is the first homestay to be able to chat with the host after using airbnb, it gives a very nice feeling!When checking in a little late at night, there are two Taiwanese sisters who help to carry their luggage up to the second floor room (my box is super heavy), in the morning bushi is wearing Japanese samurai's costume and the sisters prepare a lovely Japanese breakfast (guests who want to eat around 9 o'clock), everyone is friendly.We live in a Yuu room with a bunk bed, the space is not large, but it is completely enough for two boxes, there are towels for the bath, hair dryer, etc., the room also has the owner's own personal belongings, very old Japanese monuments specially smelled🥺🌸 like the Japanese drama was staged in front of me.The place to take a bath is also very large and even has facilities for handicapped people and the water is comfortable.At night, guests in the dining room can talk together, and we can meet people from all over the world, and we feel that everyone's itinerary varies, but it's really a fate to focus here.There are also free yukata to wear and take photos📸!The owner, bushi, is warm and friendly, and is very cute and attentive, and will take a photo of us with the props of the sword, talk about the history of Japan and Kamakura, the history and spirit of the samurai, and even his own dreams and ideas.He is the real samurai, a real samurai, a real samurai, hopefully he will be able to achieve his ideal soon, inherit the spirit of samurai to future generations and the world🥷🏻⛩️✨

I really recommend this is as a place to stay, it's a simple accommodation in a great location which you can easily get to downtown Osaka or Kyoto from in about an hour. The host is very friendly and so is everyone else at the English school! The view from the back of the building is beautiful. It had everything I needed and was well maintained

Very convenient for a short-term stay, however a little noisy. Recommended anyway when you have a limited budget

Amazing experience we’ll never forget. Yukiko made us feel like family in her home. A true bed and breakfast experience. She even picked us up and dropped us off at the train station! Yukiko’a place is perfect rest stop for couples travelling around Kyoto/Osaka. Cannot be more positive about the amenities and local recommendations. We loved our stay and can’t wait to come back.

very spacious place, we were surprised by the space when we came in. the location is fantastic, right in the heart of Gion and everything was very accessible. Our host was gracious to show us everything we needed to know about the place. Finally, it's on the 2nd floor with a staircase to get up and there are two keypadded doors to get through. This can be a little bit of extra work compared to staying at a hotel but worth the trade off.

it's good accommodation, they should take care of the insects a little more since there were spiders in our room, everything else was very good

I thought the old house was very skillfully renovated and it was a great place to stay.I was also impressed by the thoughtful "information file"!I want to use it again.

My trip was perfect. Thank you Kazuo for the hospitality. The neighborhood is quiet and you have everything you need very close. I will miss the two precious cats. I hope to be able to repeat on my return to Japan :)

Loved our stay at Mingwai’s place. It was so well equipped. The kitchen had all that we had to cook and eat comfortably. The room and toilets were clean too. It’s 20min walk from the station but buses are available as well. Mingwai was kind, helpful and responsive. Highly recommend this hostel!
