The place is a hidden gem in a tucked away village near Saspol, there is a glacier stream running nearby the property which is great to unwind. The rooms have all basic amenities and the food cooked personally by the cook is organic and tasty. but the best part of our stay here was the conversations we had with the owner who was a very warm and welcoming host and shared so many stories about her life and experiences. there is also a small garden nearby and the night sky is one to behold. definitely recommended if you want a rustic stay away from the touristy places in ladakh with home cooked food and great hospitality

It was first time for me in Ladakh but I felt like home throughout the whole stay. Somad was so friendly and open to share his place and cultures. Even before the visit, he helped me to find how to get to the Tingmosgang village with the local bus and answered promptly to my queries. He showed me how to cook the Ladakhi food like Chhutagi& Skyu and introduced all the traditions of Buddhism & meditation with abundant knowledge and willing to share. Also he suggested me many places even in other villages of Ladakh. Of course, the food was amazing. This village is very quite and peaceful. I was fascinated by the himalaya mountains surrounding the house and the night sky with lots of stars. Nearby area is also beautiful, I could track to the Tingmosgang monastery& Tserkamo Monastery. I want to come again next time for the apricot&walnut season. Highly recommend for those who are looking for the peaceful place with abundant local culture experience.

Tsering has a beautiful place with a splendid view of the Stok Kangri range. We stayed here for a week and really enjoyed interacting with everyone from the family who made us feel right at home with their warmth. Aunty took great care of us with her home cooked meals and the stay played a huge part of helping us achieve our objective of travelling to Ladakh for the run. Tsering helped us with any information we needed on places nearby. Will especially miss Boyka the family golden retriever and the leisurely walks on the estate. Highly recommend this to anyone wanting to stay with a warm and welcoming family and experience a memorable Ladakhi hospitality. Look forward to coming back and meeting everyone again and loads of love for the entire family.

This was one of the best airbnb experiences I’ve had. The house is in a beautiful village that is 15 minutes into a valley. I would highly recommend hiring/renting private transportation if you’d like to wander off and explore the tourist spots around Leh. I personally had a scooter rented from the city that gave me a lot more freedom to travel out of the village for lunch and sightseeing. The house itself is clean and the hospitality shown by Namgyal ji and his family is unparalleled. The food is top notch and homely. There is enough amenities for a pleasant stay, but no luxuries. I also had an opportunity to accompany the youngest one to the local primary school, so you can imagine how personal the experience was. The village itself is beautiful and one can take scenic walks and small treks. But be warned that the village does not have any shops/restaurants. The closest general provisions store is 15 minutes away towards the main road, or at-least a 45/50 minute walk away.
