Janet and Jack are wonderful hosts. They were accommodating in every possible way, from arranging transportation, to finding medications, to shopping, and local suggestions. They arranged for some meals to be delivered but I mostly did my own cooking. It was mostly grey and stormy during my stay, unusual for this time of year, but I was here specifically to write without too many distractions so it was perfect for me. I could sit on the deck most days and watch and hear the waves. The village murals are delightful if you want to take a short walk from the house. There are a few local places in the village for snacks or basic hardware but anything else required a short taxi ride to the nearest city, Tam Ky. Janet helped me find fabric and some other items in Hoi An and we had great morning coffee and lunch there. All in all, a great place to stay in winter if you want peace and quiet and love to be right next to the views and sounds of the surf.

Huyen's house is in a very qaint and quiet rural neighborhood close to the ocean and markets. Huyen is a most responsive and helpful host to communicate with. You can tell when you enter, that her holiday home has been a special place to the family for some time.
