This is a fantastic property to stay in - you walk in & feel at home right away. Everything is tastefully decorated & furnished & as all previous reviews say, the ever-changing views of the estuary, as the tidal Thames ebbs & flows, are wonderful, with the sunny, outdoor space proving a true bonus. The lady next door was friendly & helpful & the other neighbours were smiley & friendly too. We enjoyed Leigh on Sea very much & walked the heritage tour, which takes you right past the drive to the cottage. Leigh has a lovely atmosphere with good coffee shops & other amenities. Cindy was responsive & very lovely when we shared contact and comes across as a very effective & personable Air BnB host. Our car is a Renault Scenic & coped with the driveway approach okay - you just have to take it slowly. We appreciated the gift left for us & the milk in the fridge etc -thank you. Cannot recommend this property highly enough & would definitely like to return if visiting Essex again. What a find!

Myself and four friends stayed in Alexander's fabulous home with sea views and perfect location. It was spotlessly clean, so cosy and comfortable had everything and more than we needed. I would highly recommend his beautiful home and Alexander was a fantastic host. We only had one night and wish we could have stayed longer. Thanks very much Alexander

Regular visitor to the house, it’s very spacious especially upstairs. It’s a quiet street and comfy with a fully loaded kitchen if you like to cook. The house is quirky with a creaky stairs that my daughter and I liked especially when we did the piggy back at bed time. This house isn’t 5 star accommodation, but it’s super comfortable, quiet and the shower isn’t a sparrow sneeze like some places, it’s a proper shower. My daughter and I like the big cosy throws to hand and the play area 1 minute away is awesome to wear her out after school. I also love the local leisure centre, incredibly friendly and the area feels like a community, that as a Londoner is very apparent and a breath of fresh air, the dog walkers like to chat and people actually talk to each other in the gym and it’s got a great vibe. Didn’t venture into canvey as the house is on outskirts close to A13 and south Benfleet so we always popped to Basildon or Southend if ate out, which are a short drive away.

Willie and Chris are a lovely couple, very friendly but not intrusive. They made us feel very welcome. The apartment was spotless and well maintained, and the garden's were gorgeous. I would definitely recommend staying at Ivy Cottage.
