1 week agoTruly a one of a kind experience we’ll carry with us our whole lives. Hale is a living encyclopedia of not just bread, but also grain, chemistry, food history, and anything we could have hoped to learn. Not only that, she is a wonderfully kind person and a brilliant communicator. I never realized how much I could learn in a morning, and we all feel as if we’ve made a new best friend. The sense of community and locality was also something special. Each shop we visited on the bakery tour felt like something you would only here and now. Overall, it could not have been a better experience, and anyone who has the chance to learn with Adrian Hale is in for a perfect treat of an experience.

2 weeks agoWe had an absolutely wonderful time at Adrian’s sourdough making class! From the moment she greeted us at the door with a warm welcome and offered fresh espresso, we knew we were in for a special day. What made this such a great, unique experience was the full immersion into the craft. We loved every step of the process—from the science of feeding the starter to the art of shaping the dough to baking our own to take home. Getting to visit local bakeries as part of the curriculum added such a wonderful layer of local flavor and inspiration! As beginners, we learned so much and truly appreciated how open and patient Adrian was with all of our questions. We left feeling like we have a fantastic foundation to continue this journey at home. We’ve already tried the bread we baked there and it was fantastic! We are so excited to keep using the starter she sent home with us and can't wait to bake our next loaf.

2 weeks agoAdrian is awesome! Nice flow of information and she is so full of experiences and knowledge to share. She is able to explain things well and field questions with depth and context. Her teaching style is so good and helpful to feel supported. I came away confident to try and expand my bread making skills and now have a better background for what is going on with the science. Her book is a great resource as well!! Adrian is so pleasant to be around and this was a highlight experience for me.
