Beachfront vacation rentals in Thornton Beach

We had a wonderful weekend getaway at WongaBelle. The beach was just a stone’s throw away, perfect for our afternoon walks and relaxing during high tide. The property itself was beautiful, and we felt completely at home. athe serene environment and the comfort of the place made it an unforgettable experience. The combination of natural beauty and the welcoming atmosphere truly made our stay special.

We really enjoyed our short stay at Ekaterina's place! The accommodation was fully furnished with everything we needed and was decorated nicely! The 2 bedroom layout was very nice allowing 3 people to get up at time of their choosing and not disturb the other 2. We would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend this host!

Fantastic location, central to Port Douglas and the Daintree. Super easy check in, great communication from host and the house is large, clean, comfortable with all crockery, cutlery needed to be able to make awesome home made meals while relaxing by the pool. We loved this place!

The Oasis was just that for us. We were in Cairns for Crankworx, it was perfectly positioned for access to the motorway and private so no one outside could see the bikes etc. The restaurants a short walk away on the beach front were great, would highly reccommend L'unico. Thanks Kate, see you next year if Angus doesn't break himself in Europe 😊

Absolutely loved our stay! The space was spotless, stylish, and incredibly cozy. The host was welcoming and provided thoughtful touches throughout. Located in a quiet neighbourhood but close to everything we needed. Would definitely book again—highly recommended!

In the 8 years I have been using Airbnb this was by far my best experience ever. The house was even more beautiful than the pictures online. Lisa was an amazing host. Always willing to help and super flexible. We are so grateful for our stay here. The house was so clean and cosy. The kitchen had all the necessary tools. The house was spacious and luminous. The pool is amazing to relax and offers enough space in the shade to read a book. We also loved the fact that the house was so close to the beach. Ideal to run in the morning or do a nice walk along the coast. The perfect house if you want a nice getaway with your family or a group of friends. Would 100% recommend and if we ever come back we will surely stay here. Once again, thank you Lisa from the whole family. ❤️

Wow! Exceeded our expectations. I will be looking at other Boutique Collection holdings for future holidays. Our villa was perfectly suited to four friends who hadn't spent quality time with each other in a long time, but as adults with a big need for relaxation, it was easy to disappear to the solitude of our well equipped rooms when we needed a break from catching up.

My Partner and I stayed here for two nights and had a lovely time, it was clean, quiet and peaceful. Moti was responsive to questions, polite and friendly.

We had an excellent stay at Myranda’s unit. It was spotless inside, and well located close to the beach. A lovely deck. The unit was well equipped and Myranda’s communication was excellent. We would highly recommend this listing.

This has to be one of the best AirBnB stays I’ve had in a very long time. I fell in love with Wayne and Lola’s apartment the minute I walked through the door. The view took my breath away. I didn’t want to say goodbye but I know I will be back. Love this place so much!

What a wonderful airbnb!!! Perfect for our family, great set up, fully fenced for the dogs and my nephew. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, right across the beach. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting a far North Queensland getaway without the Port Douglas hustle, bustle and price tag. Second time staying at Reef Retreat. Lovely well maintained resort with great value for money. Pool and spa very clean - leaves well kept under control. Nice book library in laundry and friendly service.

Beautiful apartment and surroundings. Within walking distance to restaurants and beach. Owners and admin were very responsive to questions. Beds were so comfortable and everything was very clean. Appreciated the extra towels. Internet was a bit hit and miss and no shampoo in the bathrooms (lots of conditioner though) which may have just been an oversight. We would definitely stay again. We loved Port Douglas and we loved Wendy’s place. It was clean, spacious and perfectly located—within walking distance of restaurants, shops, the beach and the marina. Wendy was helpful and responsive. The unit has lots of amenities—most everything you’d want for your stay. We would welcome the chance to stay here the next time we’re in town!

We loved our stay at Melissa’s. It is a modern and very pretty house. It is immaculately presented and extremely comfortable. The bed is very comfortable and the pillows were wonderful. Melissa has tried to think of everything. I have multiple back fractures and found the sofa extremely comfortable. We really enjoyed the surrounds and the beach just across the road.

Beautiful location and easy checkin. This place is also even bigger than you would expect. Beautiful view and easy access to beach. Of note there are 4 flights of start from parking to unit, not a problem for me but may be for some

Thanks for having us at your place. It was a nice house with a lovely pool and beautiful backyard, even better is the view from the front deck at sun rise. The only thing I’d say is given the location a BBQ would be a great addition, we would have really appreciated this but got by without it. O’Sheas down the road is a good pub for food and a couple of beers, and the cafe is good too.

We stayed for 7 days and overall really enjoyed the apartment. It’s quiet, cozy, and feels nicely secluded - perfect if you’re looking to relax. We really appreciated the beach towels and umbrella, which came in handy. The ocean view is lovely and peaceful. A heads-up: having a car is definitely helpful if you plan to go into Cairns or explore nearby areas. The internet connection was a bit of a challenge - the access point overheated and shut off, so we had to use a fan to keep it running. Also, having air conditioning in the bedroom would have made sleeping more comfortable, especially if you’re not a fan (pun intended) of fans running overnight. Other than that, everything was nice and the place had a lovely vibe ☺️

We were lucky to stay at this beautiful beach house on very short notice after other accommodation fell through. Nicola was quick to respond and helped us get into the house within 30 minutes of contact. when we arrived the place was pristine with a lovely homey feel and decor that suited it's tropical beachfront location. Kitchen was extremely well stocked with thoughtful touches like included oils, sauces and washing up material. nothing worse than a stingy host! The back deck was lovely to sit on with views of their very secluded beachfront, it felt like our own personal beach! plenty of room for the 5 of us with a great pool to chill out in. Thanks for having us!
