Food Scene

This is my neighborhood Espresso Bar. Owners' Paola and Chiccio are known for the Italian Piadine, but have a lovely small breakfast and lunch menu. Just simply the most welcoming cafe in town.

Arts & Culture

Plan a ferry trip to Governors Island. It an Arts and Cultural mecca that is free to the public. Weekends they usually have free performances. There are no cars permitted, so it provides a serene atmosphere to spend time in the sun and read and be inspired.

The best museum in the entire world representing artworks from pre-history to present day. Don't miss it, but definitely break the museum down into digestible chunks. It is too much to see in just one day. Friday nights they are open late and have a live orchestra.

Unbelievable park lining the Brooklyn waterfront. The most beautiful views of the Manhattan Skylines and Brooklyn Bridge. Take your bike and bike along the whole Brooklyn waterfront all the way down to Red Hook. It's one of my favorite things to do all the time.
