You can work up an appetite by taking a walk along the pebbly beach at Auchmithie, in the company of the lovely puffins. You can then enjoy a delicious variety of seafoods and traditional Scottish cooking, including home-bakes in the restaurant overlooking the cliffs.

Just a few miles away in a picturesque fishing village, the But 'n' serves traditional Scottish food, with an emphasis on seafood. It sources many of its ingredients locally and has a sweet trolley that is hard to resist.

Auchmithy is the original village where Arbroath Smokies were smoked in barrels on the beach. After a fabulous meal you can explore the village and go down the steps to the beach.
