At low tide, the north end of this park provides a fun little walk around the tip of the long beach peninsula. Drive the entrance road into the park and follow it to the end. Then take a look at the map to orient yourself. A parking permit is required.

Take the drive along the Willipa Bay to Leadbetter Point. Great little hike through the trees to the beach that protects wildlife, or hike the other way along the bay.

Bring your bins during the spring and fall migration seasons. Birdwatching on the east side overlooks the Willapa Bay, an important gathering point for birds along the Pacific flyway.

Hikes go out along the estuary, thru newly formed forest, dunes and then on to the beach which is protected and way quieter than the drivable beaches.
