There are a few routes to take up the mountain, but if you are up for a challenge, try the Mount Ida Loop. It’s a 33km loop with 1,598 meters of elevation gain – quite the trek, but so worth it. There are a number of viewpoints along the way and you will be blown away by the sweeping views of the region. If you are looking for a more low-key hike, try out Raven Trail or Shuswap North Rail Trail, both of which are fairly easy, and go around Shuswap Lake.

Boardwalk and viewing platforms for excellent bird watching in one of the Province’s premier migratory estuaries, plus a side trail out to Christmas Island for great views of the bay and waterfowl. It doesn't get any better or more beautiful than this.

35 to 45 min walk along this flat trail that takes you from our neighborhood to the Salmon Arm marine park/wharf where you can grab an ice cream before heading back! Or head into town for lunch. Beautiful view as you walk beside Shuswap Lake through this bird sanctuary. Many information signs re: wildlife, flora and fauna along the way as well as benches to rest on and lookouts.
