In the elegant town of Rensselaerville, the Huyck Preserve has 12 miles of trails open to the public dawn to dusk, past falls, a lake and an 80-plus year forest. Very cool on a warm summer day, and the main trailhead is at the Visitor's Center by the bridge over the falls in Rensselaerville.

Lovely hiking trails with a visitor center and a nice place for a picnic lunch. The winding drive to the quaint and historic town is rural and scenic.
